              I.      Background of the candidate

Skills required :
-          Diploma/bachelor in nursing
-          Minimum 2 years  experience in both in-patient and out-patient service including emergency service
-          HIV Counselling and Testing
-          Pre Art counselling and adherence counselling
-          Experience of working with vulnerable/marginalized groups
-          Knowledge on social and health issues related to drug use
-          Knowledge on Harm reduction is preferable
-          Must demonstrate flexibility to adapt to changing requirements.
-          Being able to work with minimum supervision and stay calm under pressure
-          Able to cope with traumatic situations related to drug use and other risk behaviours
-          Problem solving and Analytical skills
-          Team spirit  and motivation for the outreach and home visit activities as required


Personal skills required:
-          Strong communication skills
-          Ability to listen and share decisions
-          Flexibility, Reactivity, anticipation, adaptability, initiative
-          Non-judgemental  attitude towards (injecting) drug use and (injecting) drug users respecting their practices
-          Respecting confidentiality of beneficiaries
-          Ability to establish trust and communicate effectively with active drug users
-          Ability to work in the natural environment of (injecting) drug users and within services for (injecting) drug users
-          Involvement in community based organizations is appreciated
-          Ability to follow security rules
-          Ability to recognize and maintain appropriate personal boundaries
-          Involvement in community based organisations (CBOs) and/or faith based organisations (FBOs) appreciated
