Program Coordinator 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Program Coordinator undertakes a variety of administrative and program management

tasks. You will help in planning and organizing program activities ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget. Successful candidate will be responsible for defining project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparation of narrative reports and record on project activities and progress status for management or donors
  • Prepare activities expenditure report and submit the same to the Executive Director for review and approval
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to Executive Director/management as needed
  • Performance risk management to minimize project risk


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, International Development,
  • Political Science or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Proficient in English and Kiswahili
  • Demonstrate ability to conduct rigorous research and present information clearly and efficiently
  • Minimum of five years’ experience             in       international development,  program management and project coordination Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent relationship building skills and experience in a highly collaborative environment with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization


Finance and Administration Manager 


The Finance and Administration Manager oversees the organizations financial report mechanisms to ensure that official monthly and annual financial statements comply with generally accepted accounting principles. This role will involve maintaining oversight of income, cash flows, accounting and financial practices across the organization.

  • Financial Management – Ensure organizational compliance with international finance regulations and prepare accurate and timely financial reports for donors as required
  • Accounting Functions – Manage monthly payroll and ensure necessary deductions and reimbursements are processed against staff accounts
  • Financial Controls and Risk Management – Oversee adhere to KTO’s financial policies and procedures, and continuously improve systems and mitigate risks
  • Operations and Human Resources Management – Oversee induction of new staff (finance and other) to KTO’s financial procedures and policies, codes of conduct and staff policies
  • Strategy and Direction – Support financial planning, risk management and value for money work within the organization


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or a related field
  • Holder of CPA (T) certificate or relevant professional qualifications in finance or accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in English and Kiswahili
  • Excellent administrative, organizational and logistical skills
  • Minimum of five years’experience in finance and operations
  • Strong communication skills and knowledge of financial analysis, accounting and auditing
  • Ability to work under pressure and towards tight deadlines
