MORUWASA is an expanding autonomous Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority,
which is responsible for supplying of clean, safe water as well as provision of wastewater disposal services for Morogoro Municipality. The general policies and guidelines to run Authority are provided by the Ministry of Water. EWURA and Board of Directors.
The Authority is looking for competent, dynamic, energetic, committed, experienced and well qualified Tanzanian who is capable of embracing and driving change in MORUWASA to fill the following vacant posts below;-
ASSISTANT TECHNICIAN II (Pump Operator) – 07 Posts
Qualification
Holder of a Form IV Secondary Education Certificate with a Trade Test 11/ I in Electrical engineering. Mechanical Engineering. Pump Engineering or equivalent from a well-recognized institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operates the water pumps according to agreed schedules and ensures that the right nuantitv of watpr is numneri from the stnraap tanks
Monitors water level in the storage water tanks/dam.
Carries out service and maintenance of water pumps, dosing pumps, water filters and gate valves.
Monitors availability of electricity and record on electricity power failure.
Ensures that the required dosage of chlorine/chemicals is administered according to the required standards.
Ensures cleanliness of water pumps, pump house dam and surroundings
Maintains records of plants and pump performance and reports any breakdowns immediately.
Records the amount of pumped water at established time intervals.
Makes meter reading of electricity consumption at established time intervals.
Records pressure gauge performance at established intervals.
Makes rain gauge readings at established time intervals.
Keeps in safe custody water treatment chemicals and reagents.
Advises on the stock level of chemicals.
Develops individual performance objectives, targets and standards in consultation with the immediate superior as part of performance agreement
Performs any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor
PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLIES OFFICER II- 01 Posts
Qualifications
Holder of a Bachelor Degree in Materials Management. Procurement and Supplies Management. Logistics Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution who has been registered by the PSPTB as Graduate Procurement and Supplies Professional.
Duties and Responsibilities
To follow up overdue orders,
To prepare stock report.
To clear goods imported by MORUWASA;
To carry out stock balancing in quantity and value every week, monthly, quarterly, half year and end of year;
To maintain files and records of stocks prices, quantities, suppliers lists, specifications catalogues and other information;
To conduct periodic inspection and stocktaking of materials & suppliers;
To maintain updated inventory of goods, supplies and materials;
To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
HUMAN RESOURCES AND ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER (01 Post)
Reporting Relationship Reports to : Managing Director
Supervises : Heads of Sections for Human Resources and Administration
Purpose of the job:
To manage Human resources and other assets of the authority.
Qualifications
Holder of a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. Human Resources Management Commerce/Business Administration majoring in Human Resources Management or equivalent from a well-recognized institution with relevant work experience of ten (10) years, computer application and management skills with three years’ in senior managerial position.

Manages the human resources and administrative functions of the authority.
Oversees the human resources functions of MORUWASA in terms of recruitment, remuneration, appraisals, promotions, staff welfare and motivation, training needs, terminations, benefits and disciplinary matters, and ensures staff rules and regulations are understood and followed.
Ensures all internal services are delivered according to departmental needs, and coordinates all management reports on internal services status for submission to the Management.
Ensures that MORUWASA property is properly insured against all types of perils, including, fire, burglary, physical and financial loss. etc.
Supervises human resource functions to ensure schedules of manpower and skill inventory needs of the authority at all levels are maintained in view of current and future operations.
Supervises human resource functions to ensure recruitment and selection of human resources required by the authority.
Regularly review Organisation Structure, Administrative Manuals and Schemes of Service.
Carries out staff performance appraisal and review of remuneration of the authority.
Develops and implements human resources and administrative policies; such as leave administration, training and discipline.
Develops individual performance objectives, targets and standards in consultation with the immediate superior as part of performance agreement.
Conducts open performance review and appraisal of subordinates and gives feedback.

Reports sewerage pipe faults to responsible officers.
Carries out water disconnections of debtors and reconnections after payment
Maintains proper records of water connections/disconnections/reconnections carried out.
Reports water pipe bursts.
Prepares data for periodical reports to the supervisor.
Reports contamination of water distribution system by customer’s service lines.
