The Norwegian Refugee Council is an independent humanitarian organisation
helping people forced to flee. Today, we work in both new and protracted crises. 
The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) with Headquarters in Oslo has programs and Country Offices in twenty countries in Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America. NRC is currently establishing presence in Côte d’Ivoire. The country programme’s overall objective will be to provide improved protection and living conditions for internally displaced persons (IDPs), refugees and returnees. Under the general umbrella of protection and based on further needs assessment, NRC plans to develop programme activities in the sectors of education and school reconstruction, shelter, distribution and provision of information, counselling and legal assistance. The position offers a unique possibility to establish, create and develop a country programme and further promote the rights of IDPs through NRC’s strong global standing within the humanitarian sector.
