CONTEXT AND PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The purpose of this role is to provide technical maintenance services on various mechanical infrastructure systems and execute mechanical related projects to maintain equipment to the required performance precisely fit out of gearboxes, pumps and valves; balancing and testing; assembly of mining equipment plus associated components and general fitting.. .
ACCOUNTABILITIES & AUTHORITIES OF THE ROLE
The fitter Mechanics has the following accountabilities and authorities: -
Preventive Maintenance: Performs various mechanical infrastructure systems inspections as assigned, these are daily, weekly, monthly inspections to maintain equipment availability.Source:
Effective and efficient inspection on each item is required for effectively maintenance planning.
Corrective Maintenance: Repair, replace or modify various mechanical parts to minimize equipment downtime.
Repairing, maintenance and installation activities on infrastructure such as, pumps and associated dewatering infrastructure, primary axial ventilation fans, ladder ways, vehicle wash-down bays, monorails and associated lifting devices etc.
Inspect. analyse and record critical mechanical information during the process of undertaking mechanical refurbishment work; this critical information would include the interpretations of wear and tear, mechanical damage to Gears, Shafts, Housing etc. recording of end floats, preloads, gear train, backlashes, tooth contacts and other at the start and completion of every refurbishment.
Execute various mechanical related projects to the required quality and standards, these include but not limited to fabrication and erect iron steel structure buildings, water systems upgrade, sewage systems upgrade, fire systems upgrade, new shed construction, roof steel structure installation, weld (vulcanize) various sizes of poly pipes and HDPE pipes.
Qualification:
FTC or Trade Test qualified grade I, II, or III - Mechanical or Diesel Fitting Trade Certificate
Have a valid driver's 'license
Experience:
Minimum 5 years' experience including general machining
Have extensive experience in a similar role in the Open / Underground Mining Industry
Experience in the maintenance of infrastructure the mining site.
Extensive knowledge of underground mobile mining equipment and underground fixed plant
Previous experience reliability engineering and maintenance planning

The purpose of this role is to provide material supply service in respect of expediting purchase orders to site and expediting goods delivered from freight forwarders to ensure they reach on site according to stipulated lag times deliver in accordance with NLGM health and safety standards and procedures.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & AUTHORITIES OF THE ROLE
The Procurement Officer has the following accountabilities and authorities:
Obtain a delivery date from suppliers and recording of such information on the expecting reports
Expediting overdue orders from the Suppliers and recording the correct revised delivery dates.
Notifying the Freight Forwarder on order picking arrangement and expediting goods to be collected and dispatched to site and track all the necessary documents for record keeping.
Liaise with Supplier, Freight Forwarder at country of origin as well as country of destination to ensure that all documentation required for issues are in order
Obtain all documentation relevant to the container and keep on file until container is received on site.
Expedite container from Port of dispatch to Port of destination and then to site
Expedite issues with the relevant parties and ensure that goods are released from port of destination within two weeks of receipt.
Keep a record of all reasons for delay at Port of destination and take corrective action when required.
Liaise with stores for immediate off-loading of the goods once arrived on site to avoid standby charges and container warfare.
Keep the expediting report up date
Provide all delivery information to the end user relating to any changes on delivery schedules
Daily communication and information flow between the warehouse section and the freight forwarders, transporters, customs and involved agencies
Keep record of all containers and ensure containers are uplifted on a regular basis. Control all demurrage costs involved with containers.
Recommend the purchase of containers when circumstance require
Communicate with supplier on purchase queries and provide advice where possible.
Resolve queries from internal and external sources.
Inform originators of Purchase requisitions of the arrival of the respective orders on site.
Liaise with all concemed parties to ensure that containers are de-stuffed regularly.
Visit Freight Forwarder companies on a regular basis to ensure that no unnecessary delays/costs are being incurred
Escalating and communication of delivery issues to management
Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Procurement manager in daily bases
REQUIRED SKILLS a KNOWLEDGE
Qualification:
Tertiary qualification in Purchasing/Supply Chain.
Must be registered with Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board (PSPTB)
Must be in possession of a Tanzanian driver's license
Experience:
3 Years working experience in purchasing operations, as Buyer and expeditor. Dynamic knowledge and understanding of the Supply chain, Freight Forwarding, destination inspection and the Mining environment.
Experience in computerized Inventory management and' purchasing techniques

Accountable for the operation of a single and! or double boom jumbo drilling rig for underground development mining with installation of ground support: drilling holes into the walls and roofs of the underground mine shafts. These holes are used to bolt down and stabilise the, mine by meshing the walls and roof.
Ensures execution of end to end drilling activities using a single/ double boom jumbo drilling rig in the underground mines.
Mark up faces in accordance with geological, statutory and survey specifications
Inspects, cleans and washes working face and general working area, checks and cleans bootlegs. Guards and blasts missed holes. Inspects scales, rockbolts, screens and straps to achieve control of ground.
Checks condition of travelway, work area, and equipment and corrects any unsafe conditions
Checks and lubricates LHD vehicle, bolting machine, jumbo drill and other machinery common to mining, and services with fuel, oils. coolants. etc.
Shoots grade and center line from pre-determined lines and determines location, spacing, number, inclination and depth of blast and bolt holes.

Sets up and operates various types of rock drills to blast holes, test holes, rock bolt holes and line plug holes, etc.

The purpose of this role is to provide support within underground operations in drilling underground mine long holes to meet production targets. .
ACCOUNTABILITIES & AUTHORITIES OF THE ROLE
Accurately drilling a series of Long holes to a design pattern using a mechanized drill.
Read and accurately follow mine instruction plans with skill and precision ensuring holes are drilled to design line, gradient and profile
Communicate with surveyors, geologists and engineers to optimize drill patterns and meters.
Set up and troubleshoot on Long hole Drill rigs, specifically on the Sandvik rigs.
Comply with relevant Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations Must carry out standard work place inspection practices and procedures and prepare the areas for drilling, charging or scraping in accordance with mine safety procedures
Qualification
Certificate of Secondary Education
Currently or previously employed in an underground operation as a Long Hole Driller.
Current and valid driver's license is required

Installation and maintenance of the leaky feeder 2-way radio communication system.
Installation and maintenance of line of site remote and tele remote infrastructure.
Maintenance and repairs to remote loading accessories to loaders including transmitters and cameras.
Conduct regular checks on remote loading equipment.
Conduct risk assessment where repairs are not covered by standard procedures.
Fill out store's requisitions with specific knowledge of spare parts required.
Lead fault diagnostics and maintenance repair activities. Always develop maintenance procedures that focus on preventative and predictive maintenance practices.
Implement Shanta Gold safety standards and working procedures within work area to minimize accidents and damage
Qualification
FTC or Trade Test qualified grade I, II, or III, Vocational Training/ Apprenticeship in a related field/ college program in heavy equipment - Auto Electrician
Have a valid driver's 'license
Experience
At least 5 years experience in conducting maintenance and troubleshooting of CAT machines (CAT Excavators, dozers, FEL, TLBs, Telehandler and Watercart) and Sandvik 1 machine (DD321-40, DL411. TH550, LH517,DL321,AARD Machines

Instrumentation Technician has the following accountabilities and authorities
Ensure total adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Policies, as well as other policies, procedures and guidelines.
Conduct repair and preventative maintenance on mining instrumentation and process control systems to achieve production and cost targets.
Ensuring that plant instrumentation is maintained effectively and efficiently so that the required performance can be achieved.
Monitor and report on plant Instrument equipment Integrity, working area Integrity and identified instrument faults and ensure the logging of identified faults in the log book.
Provide accurate and timely feedback to the mechanical Supervisor/Foreman on conditions that may affect functionality of equipment.
Must be able to use skills and knowledge to rectify the identified equipment faults and ensure the prevention of further equipment damage/ faults.
Qualification: Must have completed an internationally recognized training in Instrumentation & Control or a Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in the Instrumentation discipline/ Instrumentation Trade Certificate/ Electrical trade Certificate/ Equivalent
Experience
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in instrumentation.
Previous experience with control systems, Siemens PLC and Citect Scada will be highly regarded.
Exposure to electrical systems will be an added advantage.

Providing direct supervision of the maintenance operations of the continuous mining equipment;

Respond to emergencies that could cause injury or loss to production;
Conduct predictive and preventative maintenance on all equipment's, develop and monitor targets for reduction in equipment damage;
Ensure delivery of a cost effective and timely maintenance process to the mining department, by providing support in monitoring and reviewing costs, establishing and maintaining agreed budgets
Qualification:
FTC or Trade Test qualified grade I, Vocational Training/ Apprenticeship In a related field/ college program in heavy equipment - Mechanical or Fitting Trade Certificate

Experience:
Have extensive experience in a similar role in the Underground Mining Industry

Extensive knowledge of underground mobile mining equipment and underground fixed plant
