INTRODUCTION:
Mkulazi Holding Company Ltd (MHCL) is a joint venture company currently owned by

National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and Tanzania Prisons Service. The principle activity of the company is to undertake production and importation of sugar. Establishment of the Company is in line with the implementation of the second five year development plan (FYDP II) aiming to ensure that Tanzania becomes industrialized and middle income economy (Tanzania ya Viwanda) by the year 2025.

SUPPLIES OFFICER
Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Receiving inventory and accounting for accuracy of the count, inserting the numbers into the database and arranging for placement of the product in storage areas or shelving;
  2. Keeping track of all products accurately in order to ensure orders are done on time and avoid stock depletion;
  3. Retrieval of stock from storage or shelves to fill orders ensuring accurate accounting of orders filled in order to retain a true inventory count;
  4. Assist in the Management of Stores functions including receipts, issues, storage and documentation;
  5. Assist on ensuring that fixed assets are coded before distribution to respective offices;
  6. Responding to orders from different offices, requests or transfer of inventory to various offices;
  7. Prepare and produce stock reports as required;
  8. Receive purchase requisition from user departments and find quotations for approval by superiors;
  9. Prepare statistical analysis of supplies;
  10. To carry out any other lawful work related duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications and Experiences:
Must be a holder of Bachelor degree or Advanced Diploma in Business Administration specializing in Materials Management from a recognized Institution and must be computer literate. Must have successfully served in the advertised position for a period of three years or more in a reputable organization(s). Registration to NBMM as Certified Supplies Professional (CSP) is an added adavantage.

SENIOR SURVEYOR (1 Post).
The person will prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed. He/she will be reporting to the Head of Agriculture Department.
Duties of the Senior Surveyor
  1. Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.
  2. Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
  3. Direct or conduct surveys in order to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles.
  4. Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features.
  5. Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain Prepare or supervise preparation of all data,  charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys.
  6. Plan and conduct ground surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measurements.
  7. Establish fixed points for use in making maps, using geodetic and engineering instruments.
  8. Train assistants and helpers, and direct their work in such activities as performing surveys or drafting maps.
Qualification and Experience
  1. Holder of a Degree in surveying, mapping or Geomatics
  2. More than 5years experience in survey activities within a sugarcane plantation
  3. Ability to use survey instruments such as RTK system, Total Station and Automatic level
  4. Conversant with design softwares that are widely used in sugarcane plantations such as multiplane design software, trimble business software, farm- work software and AutoCAD
  5. Be a team player and able to work autonomously.

SENIOR IT OFFICER
Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. To assist in training technical support staff,
  2. To evaluate, implement and document enhancements,
  3. To assist in identifying system platform, components and dependencies,
  4. To identify software maintenance requirements,
  5. To prepare detailed analysis, design, and custom programming specifications and architecture,
  6. To determine processes and software that ensure the quality, reliability, and system security,
  7. To assist in performing systems validation and verification,
  8. To collect information, analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems,
  9. To plan, install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade operating systems,
  10. To troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems, including user access and component configuration,
  11. To record and maintain hardware and software inventories, site and/or server licensing, and user access and security and,
  12. To perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
Qualification and Experience:
Holder of Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology. Database Administration, Computer Systems Analysis, Computer Systems Security, Network Administration, Web and Multimedia Administration, Computer Applications, Computer Programming or equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution. Relevant professional qualification such as MCITP, DBA, OCP, CISA, REDHAT, etc. is an added advantage.
PROCUREMENT OFFICER as the one to deal with Farm operations, Head Office and handle all issues identified in the structure.

OUT GROWERS SUPERVISOR (1 Post).
The person will plan and organise all out growers cane development activities as directed by Head of Agriculture Department.
Duties of the Out growers Supervisor
  1. Planning and organizing all cane development activities to enable achievement of set production, productivity and performance targets.
  2. Ensuring various field operations timelines are strictly observed
  3. Responsible for accurate capture and maintenance of all operational data regarding land development, seed cane supply, fertilizer distribution, herbicides and vehicle/machine utilization.
  4. Ensuring timely harvesting and distribution of seed cane & inputs to contracted farms in the sugarcane growing
  5. Ensure strict adherence to set quality standards in land development, seed harvesting and distribution.
  6. Ensure precise forecast of cane availability to meet current and future factory requirements
  7. Maintain precise and dependable records of all Out growers in the sugarcane growing accounts.
  8. Liaise with Harvesting and Transport Manager to plan for cane harvesting.
Qualification and Experience
  1. Holder of Diploma in Agronomy/Agricultural General or equivalent
  2. More than 5years experience with sugarcane husbandry
  3. Great awareness of sugar industry trends, technology and development
  4. Must be proficiency with computer especially MS word, Excel and outlook
  5. Excellent mentoring skills, interpersonal skills, leadership and initiative Skills
  6. Ability to work with minimum supervision
  7. Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  8. Must be a person of unquestionable integrity
Valid driving license as he/she will have to ride a motorbike to various working sites.

HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER:
The incumbent will ensure effective people management and development of human capital through the implementation of various HR processes, policies and procedures and improving workforce productivity and staff morale.
Minimum Qualification:
  1. Bachelor degree in Human Resource management from a University Graduate from a recognized and well established University.
  2. A minimum of 5 years management experience in Human Resources.
  3. Experience of management development and skills training;
  4. Experience of conducting training needs assessments and delivering a variety of training solutions;
  5. Advanced analytical skills, with an ability to research and synthesize HR.
Job Descriptions:
  1. To develop, align the HR strategy to the business strategy and implement the execution plans.
  2. Advising the Group and reporting line on a wide variety of personal and human resources issues, as well as hands-on management of the function.
  3. Prepare HR budget in conjunction with Finance Manager, monitor expenditure and take appropriate actions to ensure that the budget is not exceeded.
  4. Align the Group HR policies and procedures in line with country regulations and laws
  5. Review and implement end to end HR processes to ensure best in class and eliminate waste and duplication of efforts.
  6. Ensure that the company has adequate budget to support training and development and in creating a learning organization

  12. To ensure that the Organization structure is aligned to the business strategy and all roles have job descriptions and they have been evaluated.
  13. Ensure that HR matrices are reviewed on a regular basis to measure the business performance
  14. Ensure that all HR risks are identified and plans are in place to mitigate the risks
  15. Monitoring and tracking the key HR trends and their impacts to the business.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT SUPERVISOR (1 Post).
This person will manage maintenance, diagnostics andrepair on heavy equipment such as tractors, excavators,Lorries etc. He/she will be reporting to Head ofAgricultural Department.
Duties of the Heavy Equipment Supervisor
Plan service and maintenance of machines
Trouble shoot problems on machines and repair
Advise his/her senior on the spares needed on the machines
Test drive the machines after repair
Train drivers and operator on good operation/ driving techniques and management of machines
Qualification and Experience
Holder of certificate in Heavy Equipment coupled with provable on job training
More than 1O years experience on heavy machines such as tractors, excavators, lorries etc
Good diagnostic and problem solving skills
Experience with sugarcane plantations will be an added advantage
Must care about the quality of work to be done and have customer satisfaction in mind
Must be safety conscious to avoid unnecessary accident
Must be proficiency with computer especially MS word, Excel and outlook

FIELD ASSISTANT (Post):
This person will assist the head of department on various data controls and administrative activities
Duties of the field Assistant
  1. Performing administrative activities such as maintaining information files and processing paper work
  2. Update various field reports such as weekly field progress report, daily activity sheets, tractor usage availability sheet etc.
  3. Compile daily, weekly and monthly reports from various heads of fields sections
  4. Raising requisition for various departmental needs such as tools, consumables, spares, safety gears etc
  5. Update agricultural inputs stock availability and advice in consultation with stores team
  6. Manage machines fuel consumption and report for abnormality
  7. Any other duty as she/he may be assigned by his senior
Qualification and Experience
  1. Holder of a diploma in agriculture or environmental studies or equivalents
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft outlook, word and excel
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication
  4. Attention to details and ability to proofread quickly
  5. One year experience on sugar estate will be an added advantage
  6. Valid driving licence as he/she will be needed to ride a motorcycle to various field locations
CANE DEVELOPMENT SUPERVISOR (1 Post).
The person will plan, execute and manage nursery activities as directed by Senior Agronomist.
Duties of the Cane Development supervisor
  1. Oversee day to day operations of the nursery
  2. Operate seed treatment plant
  3. Train prison personnel on management of the nursery
  4. Manage performance of varieties on commercial fields
  5. Advice on planting activities of cane, crop maintenance and other post-harvest activities
  6. Monitor cane losses in field and on transport and advice his senior accordingly
  7. Keeping detailed records regarding fields
Qualification and Experience
  1. Holder of Diploma in agriculture or agronomy
  2. More than 5 years experience with sugarcane husbandry
  3. Great awareness of sugar industry trends, technology and development
  4. Must be proficiency with computer especially MS word, Excel and outlook
