(a) Qualifications and Experience:
Holder of Advanced level Certificate of Education with at least two principal passes or Form IV certificate with credit passes in English and Kiswahili plus National library Assistant Certificate or equivalent qualification.
Duties and Responsibilities
To' carry out routine professional librarian
Duties and Responsibilities;
To process added copies and continuations;
To maintain public and staff catalogues;
To ensure proper shelves of books and periodicals;
To copy catalogues with CIP data; .
To handle inter library loans-gifts and exchanges;
To assist in cataloguing and classification of books, journals reprints;
To assist users in searching and selecting of publications;
To train junior staff;
To complete accession lists for all materials acquired; and
To perform any other duties assigned to him by his seniors.
