Job Purpose:
Responsible for the health service deliver channel which includes Familiar social franchise network and outreach services with the ultimate purpose to provide the highest level of quality
health services. Executes the health services marketing plan including monitoring the operational budget
1.       KRA – Manage performance of the Health services team, ensuring clarity of each team member’s responsibilities, work plans, individual MBOs and personal development plans
·         Provide biennial reviews and reports on staff performance
2.       KRA – Lead development and implementation of annual health services marketing plan
·         Develop annual marketing plan for health services in line with program needs and goals
·         Develop and oversee implementation plans for expanding franchise services to new health areas and new geographic areas across Tanzania
·         Ensure the branding, promotion, and demand creation goals for franchised network are achieved
·         Provide feedback to the Programs Team on network, outreach, and medical detailing strategies
3.       KRA – Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards
·         Oversee a team of QA technical staff to ensure high quality of health services and adherence to governmental and international QA standards.
·         Ensure regular training on quality aspect of health services staff in HQ and in the field
4.       KRA –Develop SOPs for health services and ensure compliance
·         Oversee development and enforce SOPs, protocols, franchise agreements and critical franchising tools, job aids and other materials
·         Ensure the social franchise and outreach services is managed to PSI global standards and in adherence to SOPs, protocols, franchise agreements and critical franchising tools. Apply best practices at scale across social franchise networks and services
5.       KRA – Contribute to development of performance goals and reward scheme for franchise network and outreach teams and oversee implementation
·         Set performance goals and reward scheme for franchise network and outreach teams in cooperation with Programmes and Finance and Administration Teams
·         In coordination with Communications team develop reward scheme for IPC workers
6.       KRA –Translate training curriculum developed by programs into a training plan and oversee implementation
·         Oversees the development and implementation of training plan to service providers and PSI QA staff. Ensure training activities are conducted as per plan in terms of delivery and budget
7.       KRA –Develop and manage department budget
·         Develop and manages department budgets including monitoring spend rates to ensure no over spending, under spending or erroneous spending
8.        KRA – Contribute to programmatic reports, donor reports and proposal development
·         Provide assistance to the Deputy Director of Social Marketing for consolidated report on a monthly basis. Provide health services inputs when required/requested
·         Routinely document lessons learnt to analyse franchise network and outreach teams' achievements
9.        KRA – Ensure implementation of cost efficient and effective PSI processes
·         Improve the efficiency of health services department by effectively leveraging staff and resources. Devise strategies to increase synergies/collaboration among PSI Tanzania various departments and programs
10.    KRA – Develop and manage external stakeholder relations, including regional/local governments and regional partners
·         Demonstrate a clear understanding of donor and governmental deliverables and requirements. Promptly respond to ad-hoc requests from government partners, donors and others
·         Represent PSI to donors, franchise members, partners, MoHSW and other key stakeholders for health services related activities when required
Academic & Professional Qualification
Masters degree – marketing, management or economics
Relevant working experience:   
1-2  years – with health facilities (reproductive health or child illnesses preferred)
3-5 years – Management experience
