The role

To excute administrative processes at key control points within the processes in the Warehouse Operations in Wingfield Park which distributes to all satellites and depots in Africa.
Key performance areas
1. ADHERES TO SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT POLICIES
  • Adheres to all relevant Sandvik Policies and Procedures.
  • Participates in safety improvement activities.
  • Sets highest standards of personal safety and demonstrates a proactive approach to building a sustainable safety culture within the warehouse.
  • Reports all accidents, incidents, and injuries immediately.
2. EXECUTES PROCESS MANAGEMENT
  • Updates and executes system transactions relevant to each control point continuously and accurately in the area of responsibility within the warehouse.
  • Maintains warehouse controls to ensure effective operations in the relevant area of responsibility.
  • Adheres to warehouse control processes that are in place in order to prevent any possible financial loss.Maintains a high level of awareness of the risk of potential for stock losses at various points in the warehouse processes under his/her control.
3. HANDLES CUSTOMER QUERIES
  • Investigates customer queries and deviations to the operational process to resolve issues raised timeously.
  • Documents all relevant customer queries in hard and electronic format according to policy and procedure requirements.
4. MAINTAINS ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTING
  • Maintains document filing system for all relevant warehouse processes to ensure availability to information on request.
  • Implements, tracks and maintains document control processes in the relevant section of the warehouse.
  • Reconciles source data and documentation to prepare daily KPI reports and presentations to line management team and for audit purposes.
  • Controls stationery levels in the relevant section of the warehouse
Training required
Minimum:
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • PowerPoint
  • MS Excel e.g. pivot tables, V-Lookups
  • Data Analysis
  • Previous ERP or WMS system experience
  • Strong administrative skills e.g. Document Control
Ideal prior exposure to:
  • Aurora and DI essential
  • Sandvik policies and procedures including EHS management systems
Your profile
  • Minimum: Grade 12
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in a Supply Chain Logistics / Warehousing with a focus on administration.
  • Ideal: A Diploma /Degree in Administration/Logistics or a related field will be an advantage.
