OFFICER

Tanzania is the one of Denmark largest countries Danish Development assistance to Tanzania covers a variety of areas including budgets support, public financial management, support tax accommodations health good governance and business sector development. The embassy is seeking to recruit a highly motivated energetic and experienced programmer officer for the business sector development

PURPOSE
The aim of the business sector is to support is to improve employment and income opportunity for the farmers and micro small and medium enterprises through green inclusive growth. The portfolio comprises innervations related to agriculture and agricultural financing business environment and investment climate finance and many others. The successful candidate will be responsible for the part of the portfolio assigned to him based on background and interested but may be assigned responsibility for other areas of work in the team and the entire embassy as deemed fit

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Monitor progress of programme activities of partner
  • Represent the embassy  in the steering  committees and programme coordination activities and in sector  working groups and coordination’s structures
  • Provide support and guidance partners and consultancy
  • Coordinate with partner the financial management, including work plans and budget expenditure control disbursement audits
  • Monitor M&E activities and facilities preparations and implementations of bilateral join donor review  process
  • Analyze research studies evaluations and report to identify and document lesson and produce analytical summarize for internal use and policy applications
  • Other relevant duties as may be assigned by time to time

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Master degree in development economics, business administration’s or related discipline relevant to the requirements of this post
  • 3-5 years or professional experience in business and private sector development matters including  related to technical and financial issues
  • Sound understand the political, economic, social and cultural environmental impacting on private sector work in Tanzania knowledge of the making markets works for the poor
  • Experience in planning and management for resulting including strategic thinking
  • Excellent communicational skills in English and Kiswahili both written and oral
  • Good interpersonal skills and networking skills with pro-active and energetic altitude
  • Experience with policy  dialogue authorities and private sector stakeholders
