DIVAN AFRICAN BEDS INSURANCE AGENCY COMPANY we are currently seeking an experienced General Retail Risk Underwriter to join a DIVAN team. This is great opportunity of an Underwriter at a Principal level to do more than day to day underwriting.
The role
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Manage a panel of premium advisers
• Assess pre-assessments
• Negotiate outcomes with reinsurers
• Quality check underwriting cases for more junior underwriters / trainees
• Ongoing project work and ability to move into other areas
About you
• Sound knowledge across all Retail Risk produces including General.
• Account management approach to underwriting
• Strong relationships builder
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Have a current or prior experience in a Retail underwriting capacity
• A minimum of 3 + years of underwriting experience
