POSITION:: PLANT ENGINEER

Description
-Promote safety standards by scheduling plant inspections and tracking to close out any arising matters.
-Process improvements to facilitate existing equipment running at its maximum potential and to recommend new equipment or replacement where necessary.
-Conduct risk assessments of all engineering works and projects before and after execution.
-Maintain all engineering projects, maintenance metrics and performance reports.
-Preparing project justifications secure project approvals internally and manage the reporting aspect of capital projects controls.
-Manage all Plant Projects from inception, procurement, installation and commissioning within the agreed timeframes and budget.
-Develop and implement Preventive Maintenance program for all Plant equipment to achieve the targeted equipment availability and reliability matrix.
-Maintain statutory inspection certificates as well as required testing and calibration certificates for Plant equipments.
-Initiate work permits for all engineering works and ensure the requirements are followed strictly.
-Maintain and work within the approved Plant Capital budget.
-Ensure timely closure of any gaps from various audits, Mission reports, Plant Walkabout reports and general feedback in regard to plant improvements, equipment maintenance or new/existing projects.
-Supervise and monitor contractors, execution of their duties and evaluate the completion of their work to facilitate invoice payments.
