Mwanza Urban Water and Sanitation Authority (MWAUWASA) is one of the competitively
best Authorities in the Tanzanian water and sanitation sector supplying clean and safe water and providing efficient sanitation services for the residents of Mwanza City and other designated areas. The Authority is hereby inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced, dynamic and motivated Tanzanians to fill the understated vacancies that currently exist in the Authority: 

1) HEAD OF PROCUREMENT MANAGEMENT (1 POST)

Appointing Authority: Board of Directors
Employment Terms: Three Years Contract - Renewable
Responsible to: Managing Director
Subordinates: Procurement Officers, Procurement Assistants.
Salary Scale: MWAUWASA's Salary Scale of MAS 11 (Fixed)


Required minimum qualifications:
Possession of a degree in Procurement and Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent. Must be registered with PSPTB as Authorized Professional. Must have at least five years relevant working experience, three of which must be at a senior management position. Conversant with relevant computer packages/programs. Possession of a relevant Postgraduate Degree is an added advantage. Should not be above 45 years. In addition, He/she should show proven expertise as a procurement manager; knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as agility in reading the market; talent in negotiations and networking; skillful in decision-making and working with numbers; experience in collecting and analysing data; strong leadership capabilities; and, capable of influencing excelled performance and results by his/her subordinates.

2) ASSISTANT MANAGER - PUBLIC RELATIONS (1 Post)

Reporting to: Managing Director
Subordinates: Public Relations Officers
Terms of employment: 3 Years Contract (renewable)

Required minimum qualifications:
Possession of Public Relations degree or Mass Communication Degree from a recognized Institution; At least 5 years working experience in public relations and media issues from reputable organizations 3 of which being in senior position; Masters degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication or Management is an added advantage; and, Should not be above 45 years of age.

3) CIVIL TECHNICIAN 111/11 (2 POSTS)

Responsible to: Assistant Manager - Infrastructure Development
Subordinates: None.
Salary Scale: MWAUWAS_A's Salary Scale of MAS 6

Required minimum qualifications:
Possession of a Full Technician Certificate (FTC) or Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognized Institution. Must be registered as a Technician with Engineers Registration Board (ERB). At least four years of relevant working experience. Must have used designing software such as AutoCAD, Maplnfo and Arc CARD and Microsoft windows. She/he should not be above 45 years of age.

4) PERSONAL SECRETARY I/ OFFICE MANAGEMENT SECRETARY (3
POSTS)

Required minimum qualifications:
Possession of a Secretarial Certificate Grade I or Diploma from recognized Institution. Must have a pass in shorthand, IT literacy at least conversant with Microsoft Windows especially word and excel, She should not be above 45 years of age. In addition, he/she should prove to be efficient, discrete, flexible, self-motivated, organized, proactive and a good communicator.

Experience in water works from water utilities or similar organizations is added advantage
