Water Mission Tanzania. an affiliate of Water Mission International, is a Christian nonprofit
engineering organization that designs, builds, and implements Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) solutions for people in developing countries and disaster areas. Established in Tanzania in 2013. Water Mission Tanzania is growing and now numbers about 35 staff with offices in two locations, the main office in Dar es Salaam and a regional office in Kasulu, Kigoma Region. Our mission is to provide sustainable access to safe water.
Water Missions International Tanzania is seeking for a suitable candidate to fill in the position of a Community Development Officer (1) to be based in Kasulu, Kigoma with frequent travels to the field. The person in this position must possess a heartfelt passion for our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Training TOT on WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) using a provided curriculum.
2. Teaching WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) in schools and empowering teachers and administrators to carry out the same.
3. Resolving issues in communities that threaten the success of the project.
4. Project reporting including taking photographs, recording testimonials, water quality testing, and monitoring projects and assessments.
5. Providing support to the communities in activities such as helping set up the Safe Water Committee, microfinance development, water users registration.
6. Developing WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) curriculum.
7. Uploading standard forms to the reporting database.
8. Coordinating donor visits/trips including taking them to the project sites. 9. Community Mobilization and carrying out site assessments for all new requests.
10. Provide disaster response support and work in other countries as needed.
11. Other tasks as may be assigned
Qualification & Skills:
1. A minimum of Diploma in Community Development or social work.
2. Experience of at least 5 years
3. A Christian with thorough understanding of the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.
4. Consistent lifestyle and behavior that bears a good witness to the Christian faith.
5. A level of impeccable integrity and stewardship that demonstrates to those who invest in WMT a sense of security and trust that their gifts are well used and invested.
6. Excellent computer skills.
7. Excellent written and communication skills.
8. Able to drive.
9. Must be standards and detail- oriented with ability to plan ahead.
10. Should be willing to travel to remote places including occasional trips abroad.

Water Mission Tanzania is seeking for suitable candidates to fill in the position of Senior Technician (2) to be based in Kasulu, Kigoma with frequent travels to the field. The person in this position must possess a heartfelt passion for our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Technician will work under the Lead Engineer to ensure that projects are successfully implemented and properly maintained by performing tasks such as, but not limited to:
1. Mobilizing and overseeing community volunteers and/or sub-contractors in project preparation by, constructing shallow wells, digging trenches for pipes, and constructing houses for water treatment systems.
2. Installing water treatment systems including pumps, filters, chlorinators, and solar panels.
3. Installing water storage tanks, piping, electrical cables, water meters, conduit, and tap stands.
4. Training local system operators.
5. Monitoring quality testing and assisting with borehole/spring/well yield tests.
6. Read and understand Engineering Drawings
7. Perform assessments in communities, including water quality and quantity testing, survey measurements and other aspects as may be required.
8. Timely Project reporting, including monthly report, Assessment report, follow up report with accompanied photographs as per specific assignment guideline.
9. Provide disaster response support and work in other countries as needed.
10. Other tasks as may be assigned.
Qualification & Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering
2. Experience of at least 5 years in a technical field (preferably related to Water Systems).
3. Specialized technical skills (such as plumbing, welding, electricians, or builder)
4. Driver's license
5. Advanced skills with office computer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and drafting programs (AutoCAD/ PowerCADD, SolidWorks/ProE)
6. Excellent verbal and written communications skills (English)
7. Excellent analytical skills and project planning and management skills.
8. A Christian with thorough understanding of the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.
9. Consistent lifestyle and behavior that bears a good witness to the Christian faith.
