The Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science & Technology (NM-AIST) invites
applications from suitably qualified and competent Tanzanian applicants to fill the following vacant posts: 

LECTURER – (7 Posts) 
Qualifications 
Holder of a PhD in a specialized functional area, with a Masters’ Degree in the relevant field with at least a GPA of 4.0 out of 5, and a Minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5 or its equivalent in the First degree with Minimum scores of B+ in Relevant Subjects or its equivalent.
Duties: 

  • Undertake an induction course in pedagogic skills for those who had none before; 
  • Carry out lectures and practical for Postgraduate programmes; 
  • Mentor junior staff in relevant fields; Participate/contribute in curriculum development; 
  • Participate in developing and managing various Institutional activities; 
  • Undertake research and publish/ disseminate results; 
  • Carry out consultancy and community services; 
  • write teaching manuals and compendium; 
  • supervise field practical, Masters and PhD dissertations/theses; attend/organize workshops, conferences and symposia; 
  • and perform any other duties that may be assigned by the relevant authorities.

Applied Mathematics (financial mathematics, statistical & Statistical, optimization methods, mathematical modeling, Bio-Mathematics)-1 post.

ASSISTANT LECTURER – (3 posts) 
Qualifications 
Holder of a Master degree in a specialized functional area with at least a GPA of 4.0 out of 5 and Minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5 or its equivalent in the First Degree with a Minimum score of B+ in the Relevant Subject or its equivalent.  

Duties: 
Undergo an induction course in pedagogic skills for those who had none before; Prepare and present case studies; Conduct and publish/disseminate research results; Participate in consultancies and community services under supervision; Attend workshops, conferences, and symposia; and perform any other duties that may be assigned by the relevant authorities.
