Reporting Analyst (Grade 8)

JOB PURPOSE: The purpose of this job is to ensure that processes needed for the quality
preparation, tracking and analysing of financial reports are implemented and maintained.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Get the closing instructions from global and ensure we are in line with the stated changes/instructions communicated.
  • Ensure all revenues, DC and OPEX are booked to the correct account
  • Balance sheet entries are posted with the correct flows
  • Ensure all the intercompany entries are posted with the correct Intercompany code and all intercompany accounts must reconcile before promotion
  • Prepare the PL, BS and CF with comments for review
  • Coordinate month closing to ensure we meet Millicom deadlines
  • Direct oversight of financial closing and consolidation controls, by ensuring all the controls under this area are performed before submission of financial information.
  • Preparation of annual financial statements and quarterly statutory reports
  • Review and approve changes in the Local Chart of account ensure they are aligning with the group chart of accounts​

 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE 
· Degree in B-com, Accounting, Finance, Finance & Administration or related qualification. 
· Have or in the process of acquiring professional qualifications. (ACCA,CIMA or CPA) 
· Master’s degree is an added advantage 
· Well versed with MS Office applications and SUN SYSTEM.
