We are seeking enthusiastic and qualified, experienced personnel for the following position
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead The material management functions of AKHST and also oversee the material management functions of the AGA khan Hospital Mombasa and Kisumu clusters
- Work with CEOs/COO/Finance to prepare procurement and suppliers budget which are in line with institutional plans
- Prepare materials management strategic goals and objectives and ensure functions and activities are aligned with institutional goals
- To develop and implement strategy for supply chain tracer for surgical and pharmacy suppliers as per joint commission international accreditation standards
- Experience of managing large warehouse with multiple locations
- An I depth knowledge of storing carrying and expiry conditions of specializations drugs medical surgical suppliers
- Ensure that all procurement should be done as per Tanzania national guidelines (TFDA, PHLB, TBS, TAEC, etc)
- Ensure that there is sufficient coordination between warehouse inventory control and purchasing functions
- Prepared submission and present into purchasing committee product evaluation AKDN purchasing committee purchasing committee pharmacy therapeutic committee and health network purchase program
- Ensure proper and timely payment is being made to the hospital suppliers to maintain long buyer seller good relationship
QUALIFICATIONS
i/ master degree in business administrations in supply chain or related field from Tanzania East Africa and international renowned universities
II/ should have register with procurement and supply professional and technicians board
Iii/ minimum of 8 – 10 years working experience
Iv/ have strong knowledge of procuring aliasing with leading internal suppliers for medical and constructions equipment
v/ attendance od specialized courses and experience of attending international symposium and workshop will be added advantage

SPECIALIST CARDIOLOGIST
The incumbent is responsible for patient management, patient rounds, cardiac tests, aids in diagnosis and treatment of the heart discerners and to perform invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedure in cardiology department
KEY RESPONSIBLE
- performs cardiology procedure, stress echocardiography, ECG and rhythm interpretations
- performs general invasive cardiology procedure such as arterial line placement
- performs innervations cardiology procedure
- perform clinical cardiac electrophysiology
- Able to train supervise staff in full range of noninvasive cardiac diagnosis test
- maintains infections control protocols to protect patient and staff
- Able to supervise and train junior doctors and post - graduate trainee in the area of cardiology
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
i/ masters of science in cardiology/fellowship in cardiology
ii/ full registered from medical council of Tanzania and valid retention certificate
iii/ at least 4-5 years of experience in related field
iv/ ability to work with diverse groups and commitment to advancing work place diversity
v/ openness, accessibility and visibility, approachable and flexible
vi/ motivation and inspirations with a commitment to excellence
vii/ excellent communications and listening skills
