Position: Chief Finance Officer
Department: Accounts Department
Reports to: CEO
Job Role:
The Chief Finance Officer is the head of Finance & Administration Department.
The jobholder will be a member of the Management team and will be responsible for the day of Finance and Administration Department.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief
Finance will be responsible for:
• Development of appropriate accounting systems and procedures including Sound financial regulations:
• Overall management of General Accounting and Information Technology sections as well as interfacing with other functions of organization
• Handling administrative matters of the company
• Continuously review such financial regulations, system and procedures to ensure that lapses in quality and accuracy do not occur
• Developing control systems within the department with an objective of plugging up leaks that may allow profits to drain away
• Managing the finances of the Company and in particular monitoring the Company's liquidity and cash position in order to maximize on investment income
• Ensure effective debtors and creditors management
• Responsible for preparation of periodic financial returns to the management including cash flow projections
• Co-ordination of the Company master budget including budgetary control
• Preparation of the department's annual budget and long term projections
• Ensure proper accounting and control of capital and revenue expenditure
• Responsible for the preparation of annual and half yearly financial statements
• Training and development of the staff in the department including periodic appraisal of their performance
• Co-ordination of the activities of the department with those of other departments
• Contribute to the formulation and implementations of the Corporate plan
• Assisting computerized process in the Company and more particularly within the department
• Signatory to the Company's bank account
• Bank reconciliation
• Preparation of returns to the Commissioner of Insurance and TRA Ensuring compliance with all fiscal controls and statutory requirements
• Any other duties as may be assigned by CEO from time to time.
• Oversee Payroll Management
• Oversee Debtors Management and Credit Control.
Job requirement:
• Degree/Advanced Diploma majoring in accounting and holder of C.P.A. ACCA or ACA or any equivalent professional qualification in accounting and shall be registered as a certified Accountant
• Five years post qualification experience
Qualification and Experience Required
• ADCA, PGDA, CPA (T), Registered with NBAA as fellow CPA
• 5 years of experience in senior managerial position.
• Insurance Accreditation will be an added advantage.
Position: Claims Manager
Department: Claims Department
Reports to: CEO
Specific Duties & Responsibilities As part of management team, the Claims Manager will assist in budgetary preparations, training assessment and preparations as well as the following duties:
• Supervising intimation and registration of claims
• Supervising and facilitating appointment of assessors, investigators and loss adjusters
• Evaluating the documentation and validity of cover
• Ensuring the appointment of assessors, investigator or loss adjuster for material damage, TPPI and TPPD Ensuring issuance of repair authorities, discharge vouchers, disbursement vouchers and pay-ment vouchers
• Ensuring that initial reserves are maintained and reviewed continuously as more material information is received on files and an overall review exercise is carried out and completed by the end of every quarter in a bid to support the preparation of quarterly returns.
• Handling and liaising with our advocates on demand letters, summons, primary and declara-tory judgments and warrants on ongoing status of major claims
• Identifying challenges and operational bottlenecks and exploring solutions towards stream-line efficiencies
• Negotiating settlement with third party claimants • Instigating recovery action against third parties
• Creating and distributing monthly reports on claims statistics
• Dealing with all insurance claims related queries from intermediaries, branches and head office
• Overseeing the preparation and releasing claims payment cheques for material damage and assessment/investigation fees
• Ensuring that claim files are properly filed and secured in the claims cabinets in sequential order.
Qualification and Experience Required
• ACII/ Bsc. Insurance&Risk Mgt/LLB
• 3 years of experience in senior claims position.
Position: Senior Accountant

Job Role:
The Accountant is the Section head of Finance Department. The jobholder responsible for the day to day supervision and oversight of the Accounts team; in particular the assignment of duties to members of the department ensuring particular focus on the payments and receipting section.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accountant will be responsible for:
• Implementation of appropriate accounting systems and procedures including Sound financial regulations;
• Maintain records of all accounting transactions for updates, reconciliation and prompt report-ing of any shortfall;
• capture, track and update the company asset transactions and maintain the non-current asset register
• Overall management of General Accounting sections
• Ensure compliance to statutory requirement including payment of taxes, social security con-tributions, skills development levy and any other deductions on salaries
• Assist in continuously reviewing financial regulations, system and procedures to ensure that lapses in quality and accuracy do not occur
• Assist in managing the finances of the Company and in particular monitoring the Company's cash position in order to maximize on investment income
• Ensure effective debtors and creditors management
• Assist in preparation of periodic financial returns to the management including cash flow projections
• Co-ordination of the preparation of the Bank Reconciliation for all bank accounts and taking the necessary action thereto;
• Coordinates development of sound internal control systems form management of accounting systems
• Co-ordination of the activities of the department with those of other departments

• Assisting computerized process in the Company and more particularly within the department
• Assist in reparation of returns to the Commissioner of Insurance and TRA
• Any other duties as may be assigned by Management from time to time.
