Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL) is in the process of revamping its operations and has
introduced new equipment to its fleet as part of implementation of its five years Corporate Strategic Plan (2017/2018-2020-2021). In line with this expansion, the Company is also making some reforms in its structure, internal operations and staffing to accommodate the needs of its rapid expansion. Therefore, applications are invited from qualified Tanzanians to fill the following positions.

AIRCRAFT CLEANERS GRADE II (4 POSTS)

Entry Qualifications
The following are qualifications for aspired candidates:-
Must have National Form IV or Form VI Certificate widi passes in English and Kiswaliili
Must have a Basic Technician Certificate from VET A or any recognized training institution
Basic Certificate in mechanics or odier technical related certificates will be an added advantage

Duties and Responsibilities
To handle general cleaning of line, hangar and workshop facilities under supervision
To clean Aircraft and aircraft components under supervision.
To assist in positioning working and safety gears to facilitate maintenance activities.
Performs anv odier duties as mav be assigned by die supervisor

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Five (5) years contract (renewable) upon successful performance


POSITION: ACCOUNTANT GRADE 1 (2 POSTS)

Entry Qualifications:
The following are qualifications for aspired candidates:-
Must have Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking or its equivalent from recognized academic institutions
Must have Professional qualifications (CPA, ACCA or equivalent)
Must have at least two (2) vears working experience in a competitive business environment
Must be Computer literate
Knowledge in accounting information system, experience in inventory accounting and relevant airline experience will be an added advantage


Duties and Responsibilities
Record inventories (spare parts ) in accounting system
Reclassify inventories to match widi company chart of accounts
Reconcile accounting records against store physical inventories
Reconcile accounting records against procurement records
Undergo monthly inventories stock taking, reconciliation and valuation
Advise Finance manager on provision of obsolete stocks and pass appropriate adjustments
Analyze business risks associated in inventory management and proposed remedial actions to financial manager
Support internal and external auditing on inventory accounting
Comply widi financial regulations and accounting standard in reporting, classifying, and disclosure of inventory accounting
Perform any odier duties may be assigned by die supervisor.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

DRIVER GRADE II ( 28 POSTS)

Entry Qualifications
The following are qualifications for aspired candidates:-
Must have Form IV certificate widi Class E or Cl driving License
Must have attended a Basic Driving Course from VETA/National Institute of Transport or any recognized institution.
Must have a working experience of minimum of 1 year accident free.
Possession of Trade Test or a Basic Mechanics Course will be an added advantage.

Duties and Responsibilities
To drive staff towards approved destinations in accordance widi traffic regulations.
To take vehicles due for routine maintenance / repair to die appointed sendee agents.
To undertake minor mechanical repairs.
To maintain log books and records all movement as instructed.
To make pre-inspection to the assigned vehicles prior travelling and report mechanical damages / defects.
To verify safety and cleanliness of vehicles at all times.
To verify diat valid documents and permits are acquired prior commencement of any journey.
Perform anv other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

POSITION: PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLIES OFFICER GRADE I (2 POSTS)

Entry Qualifications:
The following are qualifications for aspired canclidates:-
Bachelor Degree in Procurement and Supplies Management, Materials Management, Logistics Management or equivalent qualifications from recognized insdtudons
Must have a Procurement and Supplies Professional (CPSP)) Certificate or its equivalent and have a valid Practicing License issued by PSPTB
Must have at least diree (3) years working experience of two vears in a similar field in a competitive business environment
Computer literate
Candidates with relevant airline experience will be given preference.


Duties and Responsibilities:
To ensure contracts are implemented as per their terms and conditions.
To develop appropriate systems, procedures and guidelines for die procurement function.
To advise on best procurement strategies in collaboration with user department.
To evaluate vendor performance and advice accordinglv.
To maintain an up-to-date filing system on pricing and vendors to ensure immediate and accurate access to information.
To prepare bid documents and Tender advertisements.
To coordinate preparation of technical specifications, statement of requirements and terms of reference.
To post Annual Procurement Plan information to die Public Procurement Regulatorv Authority Database.
To perform any odier duties as assigned from time to time by Supervisor.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Five (5) years contract (renewable) upon successful performance


LEGAL OFFICER-LITIGATION (1 POST)

Entry Qualifications:
The following are qualifications for aspired canclidates:-
Must have a Bachelor Degree of Law from die recognized University
Must be registered as an Advocate of die High Court and Subordinate Courts
Must have relevant working experience of at least one (1) year from a reputable institution
Candidates widi relevant airline experience will be given preference.


Duties and Responsibilities:

To assist oil claim liability , advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits or legal right and obligations
To interpret laws, ruling and regulation for various issues To arrange availability of witness, gaflier evidence and analyse die probable outcome of case using knowledge of legal precedents;
To evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases
To fomiulate defense and initiate legal action by collecting information to ascertain die fact of die case To negotiate settlement of civil dispute
To prepare legal briefs and opinion and file appeals/revisions in court.
To keep records of all transactions in respect of both decided and ongoing cases
To collect relevant information and or orders from die respective court/tribunals
To perfume any odier official duties as may assigned from time to time.
