Partner Organisation
Rosmini Institute of Charity is a not-for-profit organisation based in rural areas of Tanzania, where they strive to empower and assist in the development of communities. Founded in 1939, RIC adopts a holistic approach to development by challenging disadvantaged communities to be part of the development process while addressing core issues that confront their livelihoods, survival and development. Their focus is on education, health and community development in the Tanga region of Tanzania.
RIC is currently providing support to thousands of people in rural Tanzania through health centres, schools and community health programmes. However, it is currently depending on outside funding and its aim is to become financially sustainable through the use of its own resources for income generation. To achieve this, a resource in the form of a Farm Manager Volunteer is required to build capacity by developing the 800 acre Rosmini Farm in Kwalukonge, Tanzania as well as two smaller farms in the region.
