Today marks the official launch of the DSE SCHOLAR INVESTMENT CHALLENGE 2017.

DSE SCHOLAR INVESTMENT CHALLENGE is an edutainment programme made for students in Higher Learning Institutions across Tanzania. The Investment Challenge runs every year for 3 months from 1st April to 30th June and aims to instill a culture of savings and investment among youth in various Tanzanian learning institutions.

For the first time this year’s Investment Challenge will include a separate Investment Challenge for students in Secondary Schools across Tanzania.

DSE has had the pleasure of hosting the Institute of Accountancy Arusha, the winner of last year’s Investment Challenge, to officially launch the DSE SCHOLAR INVESTMENT CHALLENGE 2017.

Today also officially marks the end of the Global Money Week at Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange PLC. Global Money Week, which started on 27th March, is an annual global celebration event initiated by Child & Youth Finance International with the aim of inspiring children and youth to learn about money, saving, creating livelihoods, gaining employment and becoming an entrepreneur.

In recognition of the alignment of the awareness raising objectives of Global  Money Week with the DSE SCHOLAR INVESTMENT CHALLENGE, DSE has officiated the joint commemoration of Global Money Week and the launch of this year’s DSE SCHOLAR INVESTMENT CHALLENGE through a bell ringing ceremony and press conference which was held at the offices of the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange PLC.

DSE wishes all students in Universities, Colleges and Secondary Schools across Tanzania a successful Investment Challenge.

DSE SCHOLAR INVESTMENT CHALLENGE 2017 is sponsored by CRDB Bank PLC; SWISSPORT Tanzania PLC; and FSDT. The Investment Challenge is also supported by DSE’s technology partners Maxcom Africa and Mitikaz.
