Tanzania Teachers' Union (TTU), which operates in Tanzania Mainland
only, is a registered trade Union that recruits its members from the teaching profession and it has fulltime staff in every region. In order to improve its services to its members, the Union seeks to recruit dedicated, self-motivated, highly committed and well experienced staff to fill the following vacancies based at its headquarters in Dar es Salaam:-

Real Estate Officer

Report to: The General Secretary

Overall purpose
• To monitor and provide support to the Union on matters related to management of its properties.

Responsibilities
• To advice the General Secretary on all Union's real estate matters
• To ensure that the Union complies with real estate legal Requirements
• To ensure that all properties are safe and well maintained
• To advertise Union buildings to prospective tenants
• To ensure that taxes, levies, insurance premium and Service Providers are timely paid
• Perform any other duty as may be assigned by the General Secretary

Minimum Qualifications and Experiences
Education
• Applicant should be a holder of first Degree or Advanced Diploma in' Real, Estate
• Management/Land Management and Valuation from a recognized universities or institutions
• Master in real estate management is an added advantage


Skills
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic
• Ability to work under pressure
• Assertive and forward thinker
• Creativity, imaginational and initiative
• Good teamwork spirit, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Competent in the use of IT.

Experience
• At least three years of working experience on a similar job in reputable organization/ organizations
• Competent in Real Estate and Property Management

Public Relations Officer

Report to: The General Secretary

Overall purpose
• To manage and monitor the reputation of the union to its coverage.

Responsibilities
• Organize and undertake presentation and management publicity activities
• Planning, developing and implementing public relations strategies
• Organizing events including press, conferences, exhibitions, open days and press tours.
• Conducting research on matters concerning with the Union ,
• Composing and editing in-house magazines, case studies, speeches, articles and annual reports.
• Communicating with colleagues and key spokespeople of the union
• Liaising with, and answering inquiries from media, individuals and other organizations, often' via telephone, email and other means of communications
• Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media
• Collating and analyzing media coverage
• Preparing and supervising the production of publicity brochures, handouts and direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films, multimedia programmes and preparation of documentaries
• Maintaining and updating information on the organization's website
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by General Secretary.

Minimum Qualification and experience
Bachelor Degree/Post Graduate Degree in Public Relations and Mass Communication from a recognized Universities or Institutions.

Experience
At least 4 years of working experience on similar job in reputable organization/organizations.
