that is involved in contracting, financing, and servicing farmers around Arusha to enable mechanized crop production. The company purchases crop from contracted farmers processes the crop and exports final product to Kenya, Europe and China. The company currently deals with maize, dry beans, sunflower, and safflower. The company operates through various stations all around Tanzania.
QFP is looking for motivated, driven, well spoken Tanzanians who are interested to join a fast-paced, challenging work environment. QFP is currently recruiting for the below positions:
Station Administrator (3 open positions)
Department:
Accounts/Admin
Location:
At QFP farm stations.
NB: This opening is NOT based in Arusha. QFP farm stations are located in other regions other than Arusha city and candidates will be expected to live at our stations. Accommodation and meal arrangements will be provided by QFP.
Duties and responsibilities:
a) Invoicing: Recording and tracking sales through invoicing and creating weekly invoice reports;
b) Stock Control: Be responsible for managing outgoing and incoming stock and monthly stock checks;
c) Cash Control: Receiving, disbursing and reconciling of petty cash;
d) Prepare monthly/reporting reporting as required by head office;
e) Work with station staff to manage interactions with farmers
f) Work with station staff to identify, map and measure farm plots
g) Credit Monitoring credit standing of farmers
h) Receive and record crop deliveries from farmer
Minimum Qualifications
a) Completed Bachelor’s degree in business and finance fields, accountancy, or procurement.
b) EXCELLENT KNOWLEDGE and USE of basic math.
c) Should be good at computer and internet skills, IT. Be able to use Ms Excel or other spreadsheet and IT software.
d) Fluent in Kiswahili and English

AGRONOMISTS
QUALITY FOOD PRODUCT Ltd, is looking for AGRONOMISTS knowledgeable person in cereals, oilseeds and leguminous plants. The knowledge base starts from the understanding of soil, plants nutrition and disease management, concerned about the impact of chemical pesticides on public health and the environment, interested in commercial and contract farming, want to increase incomes for the company through farming and be part of a company with a strong social, environmental and economic mission.
AGRONOMISTS are responsible general crop management through harvest; participate in crop planning calendar, mechanization service provision, seed and other input distribution and coordination, plants nutrition management, fungus, bacterial, nematodes, insects, fungus and other plant disease management, irrigation, short and long rain planning and finding new solutions to old problems regarding farming.
This position supports farmers to insure crop plans are implemented, plant diseases and nutrition are controlled and that farming practices achieve good flavor and quality for consumers.

A desire to work with farmers and the ability to explain farming concepts in clear terms as critical points to success.
Leadership skills are required to formulate and manage commercial producer groups that will mainstream crop rotations, right disease pests control methods, harvest and post-harvest practices and global GAP.

Requirements:
- Diploma/Bachelor degree in agriculture general, Horticulture, agronomy, agriculture extension or related field.
- 2-3 Years of field experience (Must), please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement
- Commercial production and contract farming experiences a plus.
- Understanding of plants pests, nutrition control and soil management in different agro ecological zones.
- Understanding driving/riding motorcycle
- Fluency in Kiswahili and English.
- Computer literate.
Responsibilities include:
- Organizing farmers into commercial producing groups inclusive of contract farming
- Crop planning i.e farming coordination and technical support.
- Agricultural inputs supplies and follow up to monitor the right application,
- Disease and insect management to prevent economic losses.
- Plant spacing, soil preparation, cultivation practices, harvest practices and post-harvest management.
Helpful knowledge and experience:
- Commercial planning and production of cereals, oilseeds and legumes.
- Cover crops and plant rotations appropriate to East African soils and climates.
- Diseases control practices and strategies.
- Good Agronomic Practices (GAP) and Global Gap as required by European markets.
