entrepreneur Johann Olav Koss, Right To Play is headquarter in Toronto, Canada and has national
offices in Canada, the Netherlands, Norway. Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States and regional offices in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. Our programs are facilitated by more than 600 international staff and 13,500 volunteer Coaches.
In Tanzania Right To Play has been successfully implementing sport and play based programs as tool for development to transform health practices and enhance education quality for about 60.000 children and youths in 96 primary schools and 8 community organizations in Dar es Salaam, Morogoro,Dodoma, Mara and Kagera regions.

Right To Play Tanzania is current recruiting an Human Resource and Communications
Coordinator to be based at Dar Es Salaam Country Office
Summary of the position
The main function of the HR and Communication Coordinator is the management of the Human
Resources and Communication departments. He / she Works closely with the Program and Finance Departments4
He or she is also a member of the management team and as such plays an important role
in the conduct of the mission of the country program.

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITLES

  • Organizes the recruitment of new staff for Right To Play;
  • Conducts the integration process of newly recruited staff;
  • Prepare hiring contracts in accordance with the internal manual of human resources and Tanzania legislation;Establishes a professional mechanism and tools for monitoring personal contracts
  • Ensures that all newly and formerly engaged agents are regularly registered with the government of Tanzania
  • Ensures a professional ranking of the records of each agent of Right To Play
  • In collaboration with the Finance Department, ensures the timely payment of staff salaries;
  • Comply with HR policy individually and collectively;
  • Ensures respect for the rights and obligations of the employer and employees;
  • Supports and advises the management team and staff for the smooth functioning of the staff delegates’ office;
  • Prevents and participates where necessary in the management of conflicts between the employees themselves on the one hand and between the employees and the decision makers of the organization;
  • Ensures the` management of absences (annual leave, leave, compensatory day, 4..)
  • Develops close links with the state services involved in employee management: labor inspection, etc
  • Supports the process of assessing the annual performance of staff;
  • Contributes to the preparation and implementation of the organization’s staff development plan:
  • Responds to other solicitations related to personnel management as required;
  • Works closely with the Regional Human Resources Manager to based in Kampala, Uganda

COMMUNICATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare and implement Right To Play’s communications plan;
  • Strengthen the level of contacts of the organization with public and private media;
  • Ensure the visibility of Right To Play;
  • Ensures compliance with the standards and policies of Brand Book and the visibility of Right To Play, its technical and financial partners;
  • Participate regularly in network meetings and consultation frameworks;
  • Ensures understanding by partners, mission. thematic areas and programmatic approaches of development of Right To Play;
  • Ensure the writing and sharing of inspiring stories (success stories) and newsletters for different projects and programs;
  • Strengthen the skills of program officers in writing inspirational stories and taking photos;
  • Ensures the establishment and management of photographic databases regularly fed according to a pre-established plan;
  • Developed tools and conununication tools for Right To Play Tanzania program;
  • Ensure the dissemination on the social networks (Intemet) of the successes and key messages conveyed by the interventions ofRight To Play in Tanzania;
  • Ensures the availability and daily use by each staff of an Outlook email account;
  • Works closely with communication officers in the Africa office (Kampala) and headquarters (Toronto – Canada) in order to share the good practices of the Tanzania program on the one hand and to make known the experiences of other country programs.
