Jhpiego is implementing a number of projects in Tanzania and wishes to recruit the following positions
Associate M&E officer (1 position based in Bukoba)
Responsibilities
Program Specific (40% WE):
Support in implementing and overseeing MCSP monitoring and evaluation activities in the region, including development of work plans and indicator frameworks, support for data management and reporting, research and evaluations as arise
Support RHMT and CHMT to analyze routine data addressing RMNCH indicators and generating RMNCH scare card.
Provide assistance to field based staff or offices an all facility-base or distinct-base data collection from the programs
Contribute to publications and presentations arising Jhpiego Tanzania work '
Participate in other monitoring, evaluation, research or dissemination work arising from the unit, as requested by supervisor
Playa coordinating function for producing data and feeding to regional program and technical people far reports and planning purposes
Together with regional M&E officer, perform data entry and management for all project reports
TA Specific (60% LOE):
Support RHMT in DHIS2 data cleaning and getting data sets a quarterly basis
Provide an-site technical assistance to facilities, districts, regions and implementing partners as requested far data entry, completeness, quality,
Collation and use of data for decision-making, with 'a focus an capacity building
Together with regional M&E Officer build capacity and support RHMT and CHMTs to Conduct routine DQAs at facilities
Collaborate with R/CHMTs to conduct regular supportive supervision, caching and mentoring facilities and data management, analysis, visualization and use far decision making
Support in facilitating project supported facilities to conduct quarterly data review meetings and region to conduct an annual data summits
Together with regional M&E officer conduct an-site data collection an quarterly basis for specific program records
On monthly basis review data submission and completeness in the national DHIS2 database for routine service statics and CHWs data submission in the project database.
Required qualification
University degree in public health, sociology, demography, statistics, or other social science area 2 - 3 years' work experience supporting technical or programmatic activities in maternal health (experience with health facility setting a plus);
Experience implementing qualitative and quantitative research a plus
Report writing, development of power paint presentation and publication skills
Excellent written, oral and presentation skills in English and Kiswahili
Excellent peoples and partnership skills
Availability and willingness to travel up to 60% time

Responsibilities:
ProgramM&E
Support in implementing and overseeing MCSP monitoring and evaluation activities, including development of work plans and indicator frameworks, support for data management, and reporting,
Support learning, research and evaluations as they arise
Conduct analysis, visualization and use of data to assess monthly trends including to engage program/ clinical/ technical staff in analysis and implications of data for programming
Generate and contribute to quarterly or other reports, as needed
Facilitate communication on programs with Jhpiego MER Unit
Contribute to publications and presentations arising from Jhpiego Tanzania work
Play a coordinating function for producing data and feeding to regional program and technical people for reports
Participate in other monitoring, evaluation, research or dissemination work arising from the unit, as requested by supervisor M&E technical assistance
? Develop capacity of HMIS Coordinators, RCHSCos, etc. to ensure quality data collection, data quality assessment, data analysis, visualization and use, data management and reporting of RMNCH data
Together with HMIS Coordinators ensure periodic data quality assessment for RMNCH data is properly conducted and documented
Collaborate with Health Informatics Officer develop capacity in the region, districts and facilities to strengthen capacity to use DHIS2 for data visualization
Collaborate with MCSP M&E staff to facilitate facilities, councils and regions to conduct quarterly data review meetings and annual data summits
Unit Specific .
Participate in meetings deliverables as required
Required Qualifications:
University degree in public health, sociology, demography, statistics, or other social science area; Master Degree preferred
Adapt at data quality assessment, data analysis, visualization and use
2 - 3 years' work experience supporting technical or programmatic activities in reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health
Experience working with the MOH and health facilities
Experience as a trainer
Proficient with MS Excel.
Experience with DHIS2 preferred.
Experience with other software a plus.
Experience implementing qualitative and quantitative research a plus
Report writing and publication skills
Excellent written, oral and presentation skills in English and Kiswahili
Excellent peoples and partnership skills.
Collaborative team player with leadership skills
Availability and willingness to travel up to 50% time
