Background:

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is an International Nongovernmental Organization that responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. In Tanzania, IRC supporting refugee program in Kigoma Region. Currently the service is provided in Nyarugusu refugee camp in Kasulu District and at a Transit Centre in Kigoma town. At the Transit Centre, IRC support refugees and asylum seekers, support included Camp Management, Health care management and treatment, Child Protection, Community-based Rehabilitation (care for disabled), Vulnerable Care, Youth and Development and Gender-Based Violence. The International Rescue Committee (IRC) now seeks an experienced Community Service Manager to provide technical leadership and implementation for the Tanzania Program in Kigoma region.
IRC seeks to recruit qualified, energetic and committed nurse who will work to ensure the improved quality of reproductive health and wellbeing for girls and women in Kibondo camp. It is within the IRC supported Clinics at Public Health care Level, but also assist in the improvement of Reproductive Health Services at community level

Position: Nurse (Midwife)
Location: Kibondo, Tanzania
Reporting to: Reproductive Health Manager

Key responsibilities 

The Nurse is responsible to insure follow up of RH activities:
a. ANC and PNC, Intra partum care
b. Mother and Neonatal health
c. Counseling and provision Family Planning
d. Counseling and treatment for STI screening
e. Clinical care survivors sexual assault
f. Post abortion care Clinical based Tasks:

a. Asses, plan, direct and evaluate total nursing care as determined by the patients age related physical psychosocial and cultural needs in accordance with established standards, policies from the ministry of Health ,Tanzania
b. Screening patients at the triage area and organize good patient flow according to first come first seen basis
c. Observe and maintain patient confidentiality at all the time as well protection of data and information
Monitoring & Reporting:
a. Assist CO staff in maintaining the registration of girls, women for medical consultation.
b. Assists medical staff in weekly and monthly collection of data and compiles, shares it after careful analysis the results with the RH supervisor each month.

Requirements: 
a) Form IV Certificate with Diploma in Nursing/Midwifery or equivalent qualification and working experience in a refugee setting.
b) Health professional  RN with strong public health background,
c) 1 year experience in clinical work especially maternal and child health care
d) Ability to validate and interpret health data
e) Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member;
f) Fluency in English and Kiswahili;
g) Ability to live in a high security environment;
