Senior Manager, Retail Assets

The incumbent that we are looking will be responsible to manage, develop, monitor and review of retail assets products across the bank with the aim of maintaining the quality of loan book portfolio, acquiring, growing and deepening Retail Asset customer relationships through effective relationship management, with special focus on the analysis and satisfaction of Personal Customers’ personal financial as well as investment needs and objectives

Core Responsibilities:

Fully manage, develop, monitor and review retail assets’ products across the bank with the aim of maintaining the quality of loan book portfolio
Fully monitor loan products’ performance and trends across the bank to ensure growth of secured and unsecured loan book of the retail customers
Fully prepare analytical retail assets portfolio reports for remedial actions.
Fully analyse monthly and quarterly product performance trend in ensuring the portfolio is within the acceptable banks limits
Fully oversee the development of competitive products (pricing + features + distribution) in line with the strategic objectives of the NMB
Fully acquire, grow and deepen Retail Asset customer relationships through effective relationship management, with special focus in probing and confirming customer’s specific cash management problems, requirements and needs, and correspondingly formulates customised financial solutions
Fully ensure financial success of NMB's products through the branches in the market segment.
Support Relationship Manager/Branch Manager to draw up monthly plans for achieving new business and customer acquisition goals committed for the assigned branch.
Fully deepen existing customer relationships for mass market segment to the appropriate service standards.
Fully develop sales strategies in consumer loans and ensure contracts’ validity to ensure competitive offering in retail assets products basing on the market benchmark
Support internal departments (Credit, Finance, Commercial, Branches, etc.) and external stakeholders (BoT, External Auditors) by attending credit queries and providing analytical reports and all other crucial information in process of maintaining quality standards of the credit portfolio.
Fully visit branches and oversee the credit monitoring progress to ensure compliance to the retail assets product and provisioning policies.
Fully control the quality of the portfolio, using available triggers and adherence to Risk management guidelines and policies.
Fully ensure competitive offering in consumer loan basing on the market benchmark
Fully ensure Customer retention and relationship enhancement
Fully recruit new employers and review SWL contracts validity
Fully train staff involved in SWL products and new staff joining the bank
Fully conduct training for both existing and new products introduced across the network to assist relationship managers and branch sales team in developing different strategies on sales/cross selling of retail assets
Fully plan, organise, co-ordinate, present to and attend different employers’ meeting/forum for product selling
Fully work on different projects related to personal banking
Fully design procedures and manual for products offered by retail asset unit
Fully develop and motivate high performers and staff committed to teamwork and encourage growth, ownership, initiative, and challenge as an opportunity
Fully manage the all activities performed by relationship officers in different zones
Fully review relationship managers on quarterly basis on their performance and provide guidance on the arrears of improvements.
Fully lead and oversee retail asset department, supporting, coaching, managing and develop relationship manager/team leaders/ product officers in order to ensure all set strategies, targets, objectives and deadlines are achieved as agreed across the team
Fully ensure staff work in a friendly and harmonious environment
Fully oversee and collaborate with marketing and communication department in promoting the products
Fully facilitate the process for recruitment of SWL Scheme for different employers in the Salaried Workers’ Loan scheme
Support and act as an escalation channel to the top management between branch network
Fully provide guidance to branches on new product policies and procedures to ensure compliance of the product policies, circular and procedures communicated to branches and head office team
Fully act and inform management on risks associating with competition on retail assets products  which might result into the bank loss
Fully design procedures, forms, brochures and different advert for product selling

Knowledge & Skills:
Understanding of Banking business.
Technical: Product development, pricing, bank legal framework, lending procedures and policies, MS Office

Qualifications & Experience:
Holder of first Degree in reputable institution. An MBA is desirable,  with excellent working knowledge in MS application (Excel, Vision, Word, Publisher)
At least 5 years’ experience in banking operations, handling service quality issues or equivalent in service or hospitality industries
