Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for cost effective procurement
Getting quotation from different vendors/suppliers
Ensure timely availability of material and release of vendor payment.
Purchasing of raw maize, soya, sunflower and other raw materials.
Raw material and ingredient stock keeping and ordering to ensure the minimum
inventory levels are kept.
Ensure raw materials meet the standards for quality and nutritional value
Periodically testing the nutritional value of raw materials.
Investigating nutritional disorders and the safe storage of feeds.
Prepare daily and monthly reports
Educational Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Feed Science or related field from an accredited institution.
3 years purchasing experience, at least 2 years in related field
Excellent negotiation skills, critical
Need to have effective communication skills and be self-motivated to gain results –
essential
Basic Computer skills
