a). Required .Qualification
Form IV certificate with credit passes-in Kiswahili and English, plus 80 w.p.m. shorthand and 50 I w.p.m. Wing speed, tabulation and manuscript stage III, secretarial and office procedure stage II. Must have sufficient knowledge in computers in at least word processing spreadsheet, database, e-mails and internet. (Must have computer certificate). Possession of Diploma in
Secretarial studies is mandatory.

b) Duties and Responsibilities
i. Handles confidential matters.

i. Responsible for maintenance of all Biomedical equipment and other related infrastructures and facilities;
ii. Plans procurement of necessary spares and equipment;
iii. Advises planning and procurement of necessary spares and equipment;
iv. Carries out independently, routine technical tasks, which require technical knowledge and skills as
v. far as equipment, infrastructures and facilities are Concerned;
vi. Plans maintenance schedules for equipment, infrastructures and facilities;
vii. Prepare pre-acceptance check lists of new equipment for verifying specifications;
viii. Plans maintenance schedules for all equipment, infrastructures and facilities for the University;
ix. Provides professional advice and guidance to University equipment, infrastructures and facilities users;
x. Participates in formulation of policies related to maintenance of University equipment, infrastructures and facilities;
xi. Participates in installation of machinery and equipment;
xii. To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the relevant authorities.

v. Conduct research in their respective fields of specializations.
vi. Participate fully in the teaching of medical students, and supervision of medical doctors, and other health professionals. Participates in Medical Boards as may be appointed.
vii. Initiates, Creates and plans strategies to improve his/her professional services.
viii. Provides Medical legal advice when required.
ix. Performs any other Duties and Responsibilities related to his/her work as assigned by his/ her superior.
