Introduction:
The National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR), is a
parastatal institution under the
Ministry of Health Community Development Gender Elderly and Children which was
established by act of parliament number 23, of 1979 and become operational in 1980. The
Institute is mandated to carry out health research among other mandates. NIMR
Mwanza centre in collaboration with Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine is
implementing a research project entitled "Peri-domestic behaviour of African malaria
vectors and the impact of insecticides". The project is currently looking for suitably
qualified individual to fill the following vacant position:

Research assistant (1 post)
Duties and responsibilities
·
To carry out mosquitoes behaviour studies in experimental house
·
To assist principal investigator (PI) in overall project
supervision and provide logistic
support during experimental house trials
·
To assist PI in management and basic quality control of data collection
tools
·
To assist PI in keeping inventory of project equipment, field
and laboratory consumables
·
Any other related duties as assigned by the PI
Required
qualifications and experience
·
At least a university degree in biology/zoology
·
At least one years experience in health
research
·
Must have age limit between :20-30 years old
