Program officers - Local activist 2 posts
Reporting to: Program Officer community mobilization
The overall task of the position is to provide technical support on community mobilization
to the organization by assist in the Community Mobilization program activities. Provides
conceptual and practical support to the community Activists, Local government Leaders,
Police and other Key actors and the wider Communities, and ensures timely and .proper
implementation of program activities and manages the advances provided to him/ her for
the implementation of the program activities. S/he is also responsible for ensuring the
program's smooth communication and cooperation with the other Kivulini programs.
Finally, s/he is responsible for ensuring the proper monitoring, evaluation, reporting and
documentation of all SASA Community Mobilization Activities. This will involve working
together with Kivulini Team and other key stakeholders. In addition this position ensure
compatibility and coordination of Kivulini M&E and our development partners systems
Main accountabilities and responsibilities
• Participate in the Community Mobilization events of the program activities and ensure their proper planning, implementation, Monitoring, Documentation and accountabilities
• Responsible for recurrent Monitoring of Program Activities and Measuring outcomes
• Prepare and update Community Mobilization program weekly, monthly, quarterly and
semi/ annual action plans.
• Participate in Community mobilization program activities implementation
• Ensure that s/he produces timely and quality results.
• Engage in Organizing orientation for new staff, volunteers and interns in Community
Mobilization program
• Provide conceptual and practical support to Community Mobilization to the community in activities implementation and in the organization for public events to prevent domestic violence
• Advise the program manager and contribute to overall conceptualization, planning and monitoring of Kivulini
• Report to program manager on progress in implementing of planned activities
• Participate in program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation as well as resources management and sharing between program.
• Manage program advances payments, receipts, retirements and requests from stores.
• Responsible for keeping, monitoring and updating Community Mobilization program
financial records
• Participate in reviewing Finance and Administration Program semi/annual financial
statements for Community Mobilization program expenditures and incomes
• Ensure proper data collection and documentation for program monitoring
• Ensure proper monitoring and documentation of Community Mobilization program
activities as well as timely submission of reports
• Assess tools prepared for program monitoring and evaluation
• Present Community Mobilization monitoring reports to Kivulini staff check-in-meeting on weekly basis
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of Community Mobilization progress reports and annual narrative report
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned to her/him by supervisor
• Qualification and other requirement specific to the role
• This person must hold at least a first degree in social sciences such as Sociology,
Community development etc.
• Must have knowledge of community mobilization.
• Ability to understand, interpret, apply and make sound, interdependent judgment
within established regulations and procedures
• Good communication skills in both spoken and written English and Swahili
• Good team player and interest in supporting women and girls
• Prior experience working with NGO's with a focus on women's rights and or human
rights.

Reporting to: Program Officer Monitoring and Evaluation

evaluation to the organization by designing and developing Monitoring and evaluation
(M&E) systems and procedures for different Kivulini programs. This includes establishing
an M&E system for data collecting, analyzing, and reporting on key output, outcomes and
impact indicators for the Kivulini programs. This will involve working together with
Kivulini Team and other key stakeholders. In addition this position ensure compatibility
and coordination of Kivulini M&E and our development partners systems
Main accountabilities and responsibilities
• Providing technical oversight for design, development, planning, implementation &
capacity-building at the organizational level on M&E issues.
• Developing a Kivulini program/projects
• Performance Monitoring Plan (KPMP) & ensuring its utilization in developing M&E systems for the organization
• Managing data collection, entry, verification, analysis and report writing.
• Providing M&E technical oversight to Kivulini program and partners and collaborating institutions, as appropriate.
• Contributing to & supporting submission of quality program/project reports according
to donor-specified deadlines.
• Developing strategies and tools for the design and implementation of specific M&E
components for Kivulini programs.
• Conducting analysis of program implementation to identify areas of weakness or
opportunity Vis a Vis the appropriate M&E strategy and guidelines.
• Developing and monitoring M&E and work plans and budget and ensure that they are
implemented
• Analyzing data sets and technical assessment findings for different Kivulini programs
• Conducting presentations at professional meetings and conferences including
supporting other staff to do the same
• Ensuring project implementation adheres to the appropriate M&E strategy and remains technically sound.•
• Provide leadership and team building at Kivulini level especially for the monitoring and evaluation program team.
• Writing up M&E debrief that can be shared with partners and donors at local and
international levels
• Participating in resource development and other writing on assigned area activities.
• Perform any other duty as assigned by the supervisor
