Inflation rates remain high in Tanzania and average income per capita is less than 1 USD per day. The GDP growth is estimated at 7% and is expected to grow to 7.5% as investment, gold production, trade and tourism pick up. There is growing consumer affluence and consumerism, giving rise to greater opportunities in our product categories.
Purpose of Role:

The role is meant to cater for all needs of the utilities/engineering services at the Moshi plant. The person is expected to work hand in hand with the engineers and technicians on site to ensure all their fuel and tools needs are fulfilled and report the same to the Stores Supervisor on site.


Key Accountabilities

  • To receive and issue engineering spares, equipments received at the plant
  • To conduct periodic stock takes as required for all the engineering spares and fuels at the plant.
  • To perform Goods  receipt in SAP and issue materials/equipment received in plant location per IRN and Issue to other plants through SAP STO
  • To check materials/equipment’s being received against  SAP  Purchase order to ensure items are in order and report any variance
  • To ensure proper handling and storage of materials/equipment in stores in accordance to FIFO
  • Generate  SAP reports for inventory reports as requested
  • Reporting on obsolete, expired and damaged material for eventual disposal procedure

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Qualifications in Procurement /Stores Management.
  • Proficient in the use of ERP systems, preferably SAP System
  •  2 or 3 three years experience
