Description
Acacia Mining seeks to employ a Mining Engineer
– Short Term Planning based at Bulyanhulu Mine in Tanzania. This role reports to the Section Leader Short Term Planning and the role holder will be accountable to provide mine design, mine instructions, and production sequences for the operation on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

This is a permanent role, with the work roster being fourteen (14) days on and seven (7) days off.


CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Ensure safe work practices by attending compulsory safety courses and meetings, use of required PPE, incident/accident reporting and ensuring total adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Policies, as well as other policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure zero MI, MTI and LTI and that incidents are reported in less than 24 hours.
• Ensure that there are no outstanding incident investigations and action plans.
• Ensure all mining instructions are 100% aligned with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
• Ensure compliance between planed versus actual for all production sections and that all plans are designed and implemented.
• Assist with preparing the yearly mine plan, business plan and budget effectively, accurately, and timely, ensuring compliance to all applicable policies, procedures and governing rules.
• Prepare monthly / weekly / daily mine plans effectively, accurately, and timely ensuring compliance to all applicable policies, procedures and governing rules.
• Prepare underground mine design / sequences / schedules effectively, accurately, and timely and ensure compliance to all applicable policies, procedures and governing rules.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of:
o EOM Reporting
o Plotting (Plans and Actuals)

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Qualification Requirements:
• BSc Mining Engineering

Experience Requirements:
• 3 years’ experience in the Mining industry

• Computer skills such as MS Excel, Access, Word, Dispatch coding, M24D, EPS, 5Dplanner
