CONSULTANT OPPORTUNITY
Consultant is needed for facilitating training
for DAFI scholarship beneficiaries
Relief to Development Society (incorporated in June 1998) is a national NGO providing relief services to refugees and local communities in Tanzania; and currently is an implementing partner of UNHCR being sponsored through UNHCR with the fund donated by the government of Federal Republic of German.
On behalf of DAFI (German Academic Refugee Initiative) Scholarship Programme, REDESO this year has set aside funds for conduct training to her first year DAFI students who pursue different undergraduate programmes in the country.
The consultant will facilitate a five days training with the purpose of empowering DAFI students to apply skills and knowledge acquiring in different universities and colleges.
Training objectives:
The training intends:
• To enable DAFI students to acquire skills and knowledge in order to be self-reliant,
• To apply skills and knowledge acquired from universities or colleges.
• To acquire life skills not taught in education
Training contents:
A. Life skills
1. Challenging stereotypes skills
2. Expressing your view
3. Making connections skills
4. Building self-confidence skills
5. Learning how to learn skills
6. Thinking creatively skills
7. Listening actively skills
8. Managing your time skills
9. Getting good advice skills
10. Manners skills
11. Learning from failure skills
12. Finding jobs skills
B. Entrepreneurship and customers care skills
Target group:
• 10 first year students 2016/2017 and 5 ongoing DAFI students at Dodoma
Timeframe:
• 5 days intensive training. Dates for training will be communicated later.
Consultant responsibilities:
• As a consultant you are supposed to prepare training materials for the above training contents for DAFI students, budget proposal and work plan proposal for 5 days.
• Prepare certificates of attendance for participants.
• Prepare comprehensive training report and submit to DAFI Focal Person, 3 days after training.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Interested eligible consultants may apply and submit training proposal that includes costs of consultancy assignment, costs of training materials and detailed training plan.
2. A consultant should have experience of five years in consultancy services especially in facilitating and trainings in higher learning institutions and attach your registration certificate of your consultancy company.
3. Deadline for submission of your proposal is 15th December, 2016 before 04.30pm
