The Position
The UW Manager will play a crucial role in Developing, implementing and monitoring short and long term objectives, policies and standard operating procedures for the department in accordance with industry standards to ensure the department remains competitive and relevant in the industry, Establish and promote healthy business processes that ensure efficient and effective client delivery within set expectations and agreed performance standards in the department.

Overall Job Purpose:
To oversee and coordinate the ur1d~ntlng function of the general business with the aim of achieving and' sustaining professionalism, world class standards of efficiency and service to clients through implementation of best practices of risk assessment, risk acceptance and service thereby achieving ultimate shareholder value

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in insurance,
• ACII qualification would be an advantage
• Specialist in general business underwriting and or claims management
• 5 years experience 3 of which should be at management level in a busy high performing general business insurance operation,
• In depth understand of local Insurance laws, practices and regulatory requirements in Tanzania
