now, Jhpiego has empowered front-line health workers by designing and
implementing effective, low-cost, hands-on solutions to strengthen the
delivery of health care services for women and their families. By
putting evidence- based health innovations into everyday practice,
Jhpiego works to break down barriers to high-quality health care for the
world’s most vulnerable populations. Jhpiego is implementing a number
of projects in Tanzania and wishes to fill the following position:
Human Resource Officer – 1 position [Dar es Salaam]
Overview:
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Officer will provide HR support to Jhpiego’country office for effective delivery of HR services and functions. These include providing HR support in recruitment, performance management, and HR administration, employee relations, ensuring compliance with Tanzanian labor laws and implementing initiatives in accordance with Jhpiego HR policy.
Procurement Officer – 1 position [Dar es Salaam]
Overview:
The Procurement Officer will perform overall procurement activities to Jhpiego Tanzania. S/he will implement and maintain sound procurement system following the organization’s procurement policy and procedure to ensure the integrity, smooth running and effective performance of Jhpiego Tanzania Program.
Technical Officer – Health System Strengthening & Quality Improvement 2 positions [1 – Kagera, 1 .; Mara]
Overview:
The HSS&QI technical Officer will provide technical support across RMNCH areas
under MCSP. S/he will coordinate efforts at regional level to strengthen Quality
improvement and health system strengthening interventions that will contribute
to improve the quality of care on Maternal Child Survival at the regional level. S/he .
will work to support the region to implement national policy guidelines and
standards along the continuum of RMNCH care, including’ supporting health
facility and community linkages. S/he will also support the health system related
components relevant to MCSP project and beneficiaries.
Senior M & E and Research [MER] Advisor – 1 position Dar es Salaam] .
Overview:
Jhpiego seeks a Senior MER Advisorto provide technical leadership and strategic direction of research, monitoring and evaluation (MER) activities, frameworks, plans and indicators to contribute to an increased evidence base for HIV prevention .services for key populations, capture project performance results and provide effective, accurate and timely research, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of all project activities for USAID-funded HIV prevention program for key and vulnerable populations (KVP) including FP and TB integration. The Senior MER Advisor will work closely with NIMR/Mwanza and other research partners to design and implement the SAUTI- TZ project research agenda including formative assessment, program evaluation, enumeration and mapping of KVp, validation of vulnerable young women index, size estimation, saturation, evaluation of routine data and SMS cohort data and other research and learning priorities. The Senior MER Advisor will lead the M&E team and work closely with the technical and program teams to design, implement and super- vise MER activities for program learning, ensuring that lessons learned are integrated into program implementation to continuously improve quality of interventions and outcomes.
Senior Finance and Administration Officer 2 positions [1 – Njombe, 1 – Iringa]
Overview:
The Finance and administration Officer is responsible for providing financial and administration support to Jhpiego office and related programs to ensure the smooth running of the office in (region). This includes handling day to day financial operations of the (region) office, with particular emphasis on handling accounts payable and receivable, expense reports, cash handling, payments, asset and inventory management, and compliance to Jhpiego and donor financial policies. Implements and maintains an on-site financial accounting and bookkeeping system required to assure the integrity and effective performance of Jhpiego’s financial operations.
