DATA ENTRY CLERK
Duties and Responsibilities
The duties are, but not exhaustive:
Prepare and sort documents / data sheets for the purpose of data entry
Enters data by using an established computer software – pastel, sage software
Establish entry priorities by maintaining understanding of what data needs to be entered first
Enter guest or employee data into prescribed database software
Check to make sure that accurate data has been entered into the database
Verify entered data by reviewing, correcting, changing or deleting entered information
Consult with supervisor regarding incomplete information
Check completed work for accuracy and make any required changes immediately
Perform document scanning work and any other secretarial work
Check source documents against entered data to ensure data integrity at every stage
Inputs data in a timely and accurate manner
Maintains confidentiality and adheres to Company regulations
Maintaining stationery and equipment
Performs administrative and office support activities
Receiving and directing visitors
Perform other work as required or assigned.
Skills and qualifications
Good communication, strong computer skills, typing and alphanumeric data entry skills are required.
Self-motivated, attention to details, confidentiality, quick Learner and team player.
Knowledge of computer software like Sage and Pastel is and added advantage
Knowledge of accounting systems team
A minimum of diploma holder and experience on accounting, statistics, or procurement
Certificate of Computer training with emphasis on Microsoft Office package especially excel and access.
Knowledge of the hotel industry is a plus.
