Mining seeks to employ 2 First Line Leader’s (FLL) in the Longhole
Section (Mining Department) at Bulyanhulu Mine. These roles reports to
the Section Leader Longhole and the role holders will be accountable to
provide support and coaching to the FLL’s in industry best practices to
deliver safe and profitable gold production.
This is a fixed term contract role, with the work roster being six weeks on and three weeks off.
• Train and coach First Line Leaders: o in the daily execution of tasks o to have structured lineup meetings o systematic supervision practices o record keeping o to develop weekly production plans o to lead the shift personnel to work safely at all times, and develop and promote a safe and healthy work environment • Reduction in LTI/MTI • Increase in hazard reporting/ near miss reporting • Timely completion of incident investigations • Conduct planned task observations on a weekly basis on activities in different sections • Reduce overbreak (average of 0.3m Elos in Longhole) • Increase in Longhole – Primary Metres Drilled • Improvement in $/t mining cost • Improvement in stope turnaround time • Improvement in planned tonnes vs. blasted tonnes • 100% logbook compliance •
Compliance on daily and PM’s for the responsible fleet as well as
compliance to the weekly schedule and spatial compliance to the weekly
plan • Improvement in the number of open slots for Longhole • Develop, and implement an auditable system for all mining physicals (daily, weekly, monthly and annual) and ensure compliance • Maintain a cost management plan for the section • Ensure that objectives are met by team members •
Ensure that all team members are aware of the Mine’s Safety and
Environmental policies and procedures, and ensure compliance at all
• High School Certificate or Intermediary • Relevant mining related qualification
• A minimum of 10 years’ mining experience in a similar role in underground hard rock mining • Must have extensive longhole mining and mine planning experience • Must have previous experience providing effective on the job training and coaching
