SIMU.tv is the first Mobile TV platform in
Tanzania, which offers Live TV and Video on Demand services. It offers a
variety of content to consumers through internet enabled devices. The content
ranges from Breaking News, Business News,
Music, Sports, Movies, Lifestyle and
so forth. In the last 1.5 years the platform has gained enormous number of
subscribers across all channels – apps, YouTube and Facebook
The Business development manager will be
largely responsible for monetizing the Ads on SIMU.tv channels and ensuring revenue
generation from the views.
Call on advertising agencies, direct
potential clients and mobile advertising partners offering premium publishing
access to mainly top advertisers per industry and convert part of their offline
spend to Mobile ad spend on SIMU.tv Approach revenue generation from a
holistic perspective seeking opportunities that bring about brand awareness and
views monetization opportunities and partnerships.
Work internally to assure that
concepts, ideation and brand materials reflect the brand’s benefits and
advantages and that which is offered to clients are within the context of their
specific needs.
Keep a close attention industry
events and opportunities that can help in bringing in more businesses. .
Work with external ad space sellers
and buyers, and industry planners in an effort to expand sales networks and
increase revenue.
Service existing accounts and maintain
client relationships as well as organizing daily work schedule to call on
existing or potential sales outlets.
Adjusts content of sales
presentations by studying the type of sales pitch according to industry.
Keeps management informed by submitting
activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans,
quarterly projections and plans as well as
annual forecasts.
Monitors competition by gathering
current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery
schedules, etc
Recommends changes in products by
evaluating results and competitive developments.
Maintains professional and technical
knowledge by attending workshops; reviewing professional publications;
establishing personal networks; participating in professional events.
A minimum of 3-5 years of advertising sales experience selling TV,
Radio and most especially digital advertising space.
A degree in Sales, Marketing &
Advertising, or a related field, MBA will be an added advantage.
Experience in media both offline and
online as well as advertising environments.
Current relationships with
advertising agency and direct client relationships across diverse industries
such as: Telecommunications, Beverage,
Entertainment, FMCGs, Banking, Travel and Leisure and so forth.
Ability
to develop and maintain client relationships.
Must be able to hit the ground
running
A proven ability to sell a premium
brand and content at a premium CPM to those seeking direct access to highly desired
demographics through advertising and sponsorships
Ability to sell 5Million monthly
views and then up-sell as the numbers continue to grow.
Thorough with Microsoft Office (
Powerpoint, Excel, Word )
An entrepreneurial approach to
business in a quick and changing organization.
Knowledge of advertising, planning,
ad serving tools for agency, direct client, programmatic and sponsorship ad
sales campaigns.
Knowledge
of Sales Force an added advantage.
