and highly organized Legal Officer (1 position) to join the Legal Services
team. The work station is Dar es Salaam.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:-
l
|
To provide legal advice/opinion to the management on matters of law.
|
l
|
To draft or vet contractual documents to which the bank is to be
party
|
l
|
To prepare
legal documents pertaining to credit facilities and ensure that such
documents are properly executed and registered
|
l
|
To review
and design loan documents and securities checking whether they have been
properly executed
|
l
|
To keep contracts, loan agreements and securities in safe custody
|
l
|
To file pleadings and make follow up on status of cases pending in
courts and tribunals
|
l
|
To perform any other duties assigned by supervisors
|
KEY RELATIONSHIP
l Internal: All TPB Staff,
all Departments
l External: TPB customers,
stakeholders, CMA, Courts, Tribunals, Advocates
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
REQUIRED
Education: Bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B) preferably
with a background in commercial law. He/she should be a registered Advocate of
the High Court of Tanzania and must be
computer literate.
Experience: Working experience of at least 2 years in
banking sector.
