Water Engineer -(x 4)

Tetra Tech, through its subsidiary Tetra Tech ARD (http://www.tetratechintdev.com). a US-based international development firm is implementing a USAID-funded project 'the Tanzania Water Resources Integration Development Initiative (WARIDI) which seeks to achieve improvements in health, water resources management, agriculture, climate change adaptation and the environment in Tanzania. Win rock Intemational (http://www.winrock.org), a US-based international non-profit Organization , is a sub-contractor to Tetra Tech on WARIDI and is supporting its implementation.
Tetra Tech and Winrock are advertising for the following positions to be based in the Office (except where noted). All applicants should be Tanzanian citizens and be fluent in Swahili and English. Some positions are immediate and some will be phased in over the coming 3 - 4 months. Ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity and gender are essential requirements

Water Engineer (4 posts) - Morogoro or Iringa Office

Experience: Minimum of 7 years' experience working in the water sector especially in rural water supply in Tanzania, Experience working on donor-funded projects is preferable,

Education:
Relevant graduate degree in engineering, hydrology or related field,
Responsibilities: The Water Engineers for the WARIDI,program will help design, supervise, coordinate and monitor field-level activities that are focused on water.
Provide reliable technical civil engineering support to Water Supply projects, They will coordinate activities closely with the District and will playa critical role in program implementation, Key field-level implementation activities will focus on support to districts and other actors for old and new water schemes and helping to design, supervise, coordinate and monitor field activities, They are also likely to include working with local drillers, pump manufacturers and installers to provide new rural waterpoints and possibly waterpoints for small towns, Work may also include organizing and training communities to manage water services.Ensure compliance to quality standards-for field work,
