Marie Stopes Tanzania (MST) is a marketing-focused, results-oriented social enterprise, which uses modern management and marketing techniques to provide family planning, reproductive and sexual healthcare and allied services. MST is a member of the Marie Stopes International (MSI) Global Partnership, which operates in over 45 countries worldwide. MST’s goal is to improve quality of life in Tanzania by dramatically improving access to and use of family planning and other reproductive health services.

We are looking for dynamic individuals to join our highly motivated team as Assistant Management of Information Systems [MIS] Officer;

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist users with computer hardware and/or software applications (e.g. website access, email setup, troubleshooting, etc.) for the purpose of providing immediate problem resolution, referring as appropriate for resolution and/or maintaining quality assurance
• Conduct onsite training to outreach team members on Client Information Center(CLIC) system
• Support selected outreach teams to utilize CLIC to document numbers of clients served as per MSI/MST standard operating procedures
• Support outreach teams to check completeness and quality of data entered into CLIC
• Support outreach teams to lock shift at the end of the day
• Support outreach teams to compile daily,/weekly/monthly report
• Ensure effective on-going support for all systems in use by MST, ensuring that the service provided to users is the highest possible within the resources available
• Data entry activities
• Other duties as might be assigned by your supervisor(s).

QUALIFICATIONS

• IT Diploma/Advanced Diploma or equivalent
• Training on data management, health statistics (an added advantage)

EXPERIENCE

• Direct experience on working with hardware and software materials
• Previous experience in the role of IT support preferable
• Ability to travel especially in Tanzanian rural areas
• Experience of support teams to implement information system

SKILLS

• Good communication skills, working well independently, as well as part of a team
• Strong written and verbal English and Swahili language skills
• Strong data management skills, and special database knowledge and skills
• Ability to work effectively especially when under pressure
• High level of computer literacy

• High competency in writing field and narrative reports
• Good understanding of beneficiary tracking, methods for Data Quality Assessment (DQA)
