CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Reporting to:Managing Director
Division: Finance
JOB PURPOSE
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for all accounting and financial requirements of the Company in order to enhance performance of the Company.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNT ABILITIES
1.Develop and control the Company’s annual budget to ensure all financial targets are met and financial and statutory regulations are complied with.
2.Oversee the preparation of Company’s financial accounts to ensure that they are presented accurately and on time.
3.Lead the development of both the operation and capital budget, to ensure compliance with established company parameters and timeliness and provide management with monthly performance report (Actual vs. Budget).
4.Constantly review credit control policy and procedures to ensure that the company receivables are maintained at the lowest manageable levels.
5.Review Company performance on revenue and prepare timely appraisal report in order to ensure the companies set KPIs on revenue are attained.
6.Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, financial regulations, accounting instructions and International Financial Reporting Standards.
7.Manage treasury functions to ensure that the company cash flows are adequately safeguarded and ensure that Company’s obligations are settled as they fall due.
8.Manage preparation of final accounts and ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and pertinent regulatory requirements so as to achieve true and fair view position to attain unqualified audit opinion.
9.Oversee the management of company’s inventories to ensure that they are maintained at optimum level to support business operations.
10.Manage and monitor functions related to the company fixed assets management, major project’s management, Company’s Foreign Loans and Grants financial transactions.
11.Manage and develop proper utilization of resources (human capital, financial and other Company assets) within the Business Unit.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
•Registered by NBAA Board.
•Holder of CPA or its equivalent recognized by NBAA.
•8 years working experience (3 years in Senior Managerial position).
EMPLOYMENT TERMS:
Contract of three (3) years – renewable based on performance.
