By putting evidence-based :- health innovations into everyday practice, Jhpiego works to break down barriers to high-quality health care for the world's most vulnerable populations.
Jhpiego is implementing a number of projects in Tanzania and wishes to fill the following position:

POSITON: MONITORING & EVALUATION OFFICER, MCSP-REGIONAL
Department: MER
Location: Kagera/Mara
Position Reports To: Senior M & E Officer
Position Supervised: Associate M & E Officer

Overview:
The M&E officer will be responsible for the routine monitoring of all the activity programs in alignment with the MCSP M&E plan and the performance monitoring plan.
S/he will work closely with the regional Associate M&E Officers to operate efficient systems of regional level M&E.
S/he will provide timely and relevant information to Senior tum M&E Officer, program and technical staff, and other project stakeholders.
S/he will contribute to strengthening the M&E capacity of sub-grantees.
S/he will also participate in MCSP research activities and support consultants as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    University degree in public health, sociology, demography, statistics, or other social science area; Masters Degree preferred
•    Adept at data quality assessment, data analysis, visualization and use
•    2 - 3 years work experience supporting technical or programmatic activities in maternal health (experience with health facility setting a plus)
•    Experience as a trainer
•    Proficient with MS Excel.
•    Experience with DHIS2 preferred.
•    Experience with other software a plus.
•    Experience implementing qualitative and quantitative research a plus,
•    Excellent written, oral and presentation skills in English and Kiswahili
•    Excellent peoples and partnership skills.
•    Collaborative team player with leadership skills
•    Availability and willingness to travel up to 50% time

Tanzanian nationals who have previous experience working with an international organization are preferred.
