Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences is inviting applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to be considered for employment to fill the following vacant posts:-
5. SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER II – 1 POST
a) Required Qualification
Holder of BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and must have been registered as Professional Engineer by Engineers Registration Board.

b) Experience: Four (4) years working experience in a similar post or 6 years working experience after the first degree.
c) Duties and Responsibilities
i. Plans procurement of necessary spares and equipment
ii. Develops and modifies technical tasks as required
iii. Undertakes maintenance of equipment, buildings and other facilities
iv. Carries out independently, specified routine technical tasks, which require technical knowledge and skills
v. Participates in tender evaluations related to construction works
vi. Prepares budgets for specific tasks and projects for implementation
vii. Plans maintenance schedules for equipment and buildings
viii. Prepares pre-acceptance check lists of new equipment for verifying specifications
ix. Be in charge of quality control of electrical materials and equipment at the University
x. Plans maintenance schedules for electrical equipment and buildings for the University
xi. Supervises and allocates tasks to junior staff
xii. Provides professional advice and guidance to University equipment users
xiii. Participates in formulation of policies related to maintenance of University equipments
xiv. Participates in installation of machinery and equipment
xv. Performs any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor
1. GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR ALL POSTS:

 Form IV and Form VI National Examination Certificates- All applicants.
 Computer Certificates where applicable.
 Professional Certificates from respective boards where applicable.
 One recent passport size picture and copy of birth certificate.
v) Form IV and Form VI result slips are strictly not accepted. Presentation of forged academic certificates and other information in the CV will necessitate to legal action.
vi) Applicants currently employed in the public service should route their application letters through their respective employers.
vii) Applicants should indicate three reputable referees with their reliable contacts.
viii) Certificates from foreign Universities should be verified by Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) or National Acreditation Council for Technical Education (NACTE) for foreign non degree certificates
ix) Women are highly encouraged to apply.
