VSLA OFFICERS (6 POSITIONS)
Tanzania  Postal  Bank  (TPB)  seeks  to  appoint  dedicated,  self-motivated  and  highly organized  VSLA Officers  (6  positions)to  join  the Marketing  and  Business  Development team. The work stations are Lindi, Dar es Salaam, Songea, Pwani, Morogoro and Musoma.
Reporting Line: Senior Manager VSLA
Locations: Dar es Salaam, Lindi, Songea, Pwani, Morogoro and Musoma
Work Schedule: As per TPB Staff regulations

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Maintains relationships with Local Government/Private Institutions/NGO’s for the betterment of the Group.
•    Ensuring Groups/Members have Opened Bank account and they are active.
•    Providing  support,  information,  and  guidance  to  the  VSLA  team  and  other stakeholders researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending  profit and service improvements.
•    Identifies  product  improvements  or  new  products  by  remaining  current  on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
•    Prepares  Daily/Weekly/Monthly  Quarterly  reports  by  collecting, analysing,  and summarizing information from Branches and VSLA-officers
•    Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing TPB Bank standards.
•    Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
•    Collect data on the groups as required by the training schedule, and submit to the Supervisor
•    Mobilize and link saving groups or associations on his/her own and in cooperation with available local trainers (VT,CBT,VAs PSP’s or CBT).
•    Supervise a team of local trainers covering his/her area of supervision 
•    Review and agree on weekly, monthly and quarter plan with his/her team of local trainers.
•    Ensure groups  and  local  trainers adhere to  procedures  and  trainings guided by TBP.
•    Ensure that local trainers adhere to the group training & supervision schedule.
•    Collect group data on his/her own as required.
•    Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports and submit to the assigned supervisor
•    Respond & correct any discrepancies in those groups in cooperation with Partners and trainers.
•    Appraise the performance of local trainers for the purpose of monitoring the quality of trainings.
•    Maintain relationship with available partners for the betterment of the group’s performance.
•    Work  closely  with  other TBP  staffs  or  POS  available  in  respective  working  area to support saving groups.
•    Maintain the quality of service by establishing and enforcing TBP Bank standards.
•    Any other duties assigned by immediately supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Planning, Organizing    and Executing VSLA Strategies
2. Liaise with Branch Managers on VSLA Performance for Branch
3. Responsible for Mobilising Savings in all TPB Branches/POS network 
4. Design VSLA Product that would suit VSLA segment and modify the existing product whenever its necessary 
5. Preparing Sales Report on a weekly, monthly & Quarterly Basis
6. Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
•    Degree  in  rural  development, social  administration, business  management or  any degree from a recognized institution. Teaching certificate will be an added advantage.
•    Ability  to  capture  and document  business and  reporting  requirement  from  multiple sources, Strong communication skills both written and Verbal, Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and a team player.
•    Minimum  of 2  years’ experience in dealing with VSLA/VICOBA  will be an added advantage.
•    Strong knowledge of Ms Office application, including word, excel, Project and Power point.
•    Driving    licence-Motorcycle is mandatory
