SUMMARY OF POSITION
Monitoring and
Evaluation (M&E) Assistant will be working, under the direct supervision of
the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, with all programme teams to implement
PASADA’s monitoring and evaluation plan. The M&E Assistant will be mainly
responsible for gathering data and input, maintaining data, and following up
and reporting progress of projects activities

1.

Sauti Project Oversight and Management
·
Coordinate development
of the project’s core monitoring and reporting tools and database during the
start-up phase
·
Participate in the
development of detailed project implementation plans, targets, and roll out
strategy as part of the project team
·
Participate as required
in project steering committee meetings providing accurate and timely updates
results
·
Ensure volunteers are fully
trained on M&E and the project’s reporting requirements before they are
placed in the field

Sauti Project Monitoring and Reporting
·
Coordinate
all aspects of project monitoring and reporting ensuring data is of high
quality and produced on time for the M&E
·
Collect
case studies across the project for evidence gathering and format so they are
suitable for external audiences
·
Work
closely with the M&E Officer, Program Coordinator, Social Economic
Strengthening Officers and Volunteers (Empowerment workers) to produce quarterly and annual narrative
reports of the project to the donor ensuring internal sign off is done
·
Maintain up
to date excel databases of the project
capturing progress against the log-frame, volunteer data, and women and girls
network data
·
Assist the
PASADA M&E Officer and Sauti Program Coordinator in designing and
coordinating baselines, evaluations and annual project reviews
·
Provide
technical assistance and training on monitoring and data collection to Social
Economic Strengthening Officers, volunteers, and local partners
·
Ensure data
collected enables PASADA to track all activities, outputs of the Sauti project,
and systems are in place to support outcome measurement
·
Be responsible monthly and quarterly, that project data is integrated
fully into PASADA progress reports both narrative and data-based

Support Project Quality and Implementation (20%)
·
Conduct project
monitoring visits on a regular basis and report findings to the project team
·
Conduct spot checks with
project volunteers (Empowerment workers), peers, beneficiaries and
stakeholders to ensure project implementation conforms with the purpose of
the project, and PASADA’s Values, Policies and Codes of Conduct
·
Support your team to identify
and address challenges in the project’s performance to ensure annual targets
and outcomes are achieved in line with the resources available
·
Proactively advise and
support volunteers (Empowerment workers) in the field to ensure they are
active and delivering their projects
·
Serve as a role model at all times, personally embodying PASADA’s
mission and values, whilst helping to ensure that PASADA’s code of conduct,
policies and standards are understood and adhered to in practice by all our
staff, volunteers (Empowerment workers) and stakeholder

Project
Budgeting and Reporting
·
Ensure clear and cost
effective activity budgets are developed within the project and approved in
line with PASADA policies
·
Prepare and submit timely
narrative and financial reports on expenditure and activities you are
conducting in line with PASADA policies
·
Ensure PASADA resources
(monetary or equipment) are protected and never mis-used by staff, volunteers
(Empowerment workers), or beneficiaries
·
Ensure that all requisitions
and retirements are appropriately authorized; and that all expenditure is
backed up genuine receipts and documents
·
Uphold all financial policies
and procedures for PASADA, and proactively prevent risks within the project
which could jeopardise our Values, Policies and Code of Conduct, and donor
compliance

Appraise
donor’s financial regulations and compliance matters especially on the report
format.

To perform any other related job as it
deem necessary from time to time as assigned by your Supervisor
